I disagree, Brock had lost to HHH the year before. He was a main event guy but so is say a Sheamus.
However there is a big difference between Brock and Sheamus and it all started that night. They followed up the Taker match with Brock destroying Cena at Summerslam and everyone that he has faced since then.
