the nba doesn't make money from just golden state winning..... they want multiple fan bases pleased...... which is exactly what you have right now, okc is hype, golden state is watching, toronto is watching, cleveland is watching....
if golden state blew out everybody like they did all season and the cavaliers did the same, then they played and golden state won, that would be predictable and boring.... people wouldn't watch as much......
people tuned back in when OKC wins, and when Toronto wins........ if lebron wins a championship and maybe moves on? they would have nba coverage all off season long around the clock.
a 73 win team buzz sawing the playoffs/finals don't sell that well.
