I had bought a couple of wax boxes from BBCE last year. Just added them as "filler" when I was making a big order. I thought they were just normal 89 fleer boxes until two FF's came out of them.

I try to stay away from autographed cards, mainly because if I want an autograph of a player, I'd like to not have to spend a huge premium just because the card has a serial number or is in a limited...

Just wait until there is a PSA/DNA special for baseball. I seem to recall one not too long ago that was 50% off authentication fees $75 or less. That'd make it easier on the pocketbook (slightly).
