It just seems weird that seller doesn't grade their cards. I would be careful that the photo matches the card.

agree...if graded, these would go for much more....

VeedonFleece 03-27-2016 07:56 AM

I would have no reservations about bidding on this stuff. If I could afford it!

whitesoxfan3579 03-27-2016 07:57 AM

i have met dealers that don't believe in grading any cards no matter what.

COMCMax 03-27-2016 08:01 AM

He was pretty straight forward with this PSA MINSIZERQ Hank Aaron with a photo of the psa labeling. He's obviously grades cards or co-signs for people that do. Always a little iffy buying vintage from someone who grades cards to. Looks like he has his own grading system from his feedback. Superb, Gorgeous, Outstanding, and PHENOMENAL.

I've never seen that designation on a psa grade before....what does it mean?

blackbears86 03-27-2016 08:30 AM

just researched----figured it out.

When PSA says it's to small ,but came from that factory that way. I guess a nice way of saying they don't think you trimmed it.

He listed this 57 Mantle as " Altered " so who knows.

Bretsky 03-27-2016 09:06 AM

I would be very concerned with them being trimmed.

justinstaff756 03-27-2016 11:16 AM

Lol if you have no reservations bidding on his stuff. I could only imagine the shock when they come back from psa. #doresearch

Haha, quite the grading standard.

texmrsport 03-27-2016 12:10 PM

Do a Google search on this seller. Stay away.

TarjetasBéisbol 03-27-2016 12:14 PM

I hate to see stuff like that and getting the MINSIZERQ from PSA shows that he is very good at trimming cards.

VeedonFleece 03-27-2016 12:22 PM

Where is there any proof of them having trimmed cards?

87toppsproject 03-27-2016 12:30 PM

It's nice to see these cards, but I don't believe that they are all legit (e.g. evidence of trimming, etc.). Looking back at all the previous auctions, how could they have all of these highly-coveted, beautiful cards selling for low prices. Something does not add up.

This is a really helpful post. If you know more about the seller than the rest of us, why don't you say, instead of 'lolling' about it?

From the little bit of #research I've done, it would appear that this seller buys graded, cracks them out, then resells at a profit.

jr24ai3 03-27-2016 01:24 PM

The Ryan RC looks trimmed. Look at the back scan, left edge.

Kevin 03-27-2016 01:32 PM

A lot of nice stuff there. Good luck to anybody who is bidding.

Why are you using hash tags on a forum?

VeedonFleece 03-27-2016 02:25 PM

I'm parroting.

Why are you singling me out?

Edit: Thanks for contributing to the thread though. Great input.

oldgoldy97 03-27-2016 02:53 PM

Cards and prices appear too good to be true.

That should say enough.

IronMonkey415 03-27-2016 02:58 PM

My 1960 TOPPS DICK GRAY card on ebay looks more real then those.

BECAUSE IT IS REAL.
It just seems weird that seller doesn't grade their cards. I would be careful that the photo matches the card.
the grading process is a scam in itself too anyway. They charge too much for an invented authority on card conditions.

the internet hasnt made this hobby more convenient, its made it more untrustworthy. Every other thread is ..card tampering, lying, he cut off the case break,he didnt bid punctually on the case break, he pulled the card,he bid on his own card....

burke23 03-27-2016 03:20 PM

Basically they buy nice looking low grades versions of cards (eg psa 4 with great eye appeal), crack them out and sell them raw to people that think they will grade highly. Could be a surface wrinkle or something else that isn't very obvious but pretty
Ouch guaranteed nothing will grade highly from everything I've ever read about them.
