COMC Offer

So I make an offer on COMC, he has the card listed at $20.25, I offer $11. He then counteroffers at $25.25!!!! Yes....he has now raised the price of his card to $30.25 within seconds of receiving my offer.

Lol, whatever.

he did that to me too. I'm not sure he even wants to sell

He does it on trivial amounts too... 7-10 days ago, I offered like 40 cents on two cards he had priced at like 30 cents each and he declined and raised them both to ~1.50 each.

Simple solution for his listings...never put in offers for his stuff. Don't even bother trying to nickel and dime him. Just buy the cards outright. There have been enough threads on here stating that he declines or counters above his selling price and raises his prices. Save yourself the headache.

I always enjoy buying cards from him that he clearly listed to low or as a mistake and then set the price at a reasonable amount. I guess I find it ironic that I can list his cards for a reasonable price.

I'll offer on cards I want him to raise the price of... Works a treat... Then I reprice my copy/copies accordingly

Wait....who does everyone think I am talking about? I just want to see if we are on the same page. If so, that's hilarious that he's that widely known for doing such a tactic.

Some guy named "Valdus".....I tried putting the hint from post 2 together, but I think it may be a different person unless I'm missing something.

it is a different person. i have not heard of him doing it. what card was it? i have heard of some people legitimately (not saying he is since i do not know what the card is) rejecting an offer and then raising a price because the player has gotten hot and the card has gone up in value since the original pricing was made.

It was a monumental logo 2014-15 UD of Shaq....I own 8 of the cards so far and have averaged paying 19.56 shipped on eBay so it's about a $16 dollar card. My initial offer was me hoping to get a steal, but after his antics, I can wait because I even offered the full original price and he still declined looking for more.

Rabs 03-19-2016 10:08 PM

I've had this happen to me a few times but can't remember what sellers they are. For instance I made an offer on a Sean Taylor card I needed, it was declined, and now the card is listed for $100.20 which is $40 higher than before I made the offer.

It not only him. A lot of seller in comc doing that. Many seller didn't adjust price regularly. It's often seller adjust their price after getting offer then they checked latest market/ebay price

just looked at the card, and unfortunately since you own so many, the rest may be a little higher than $20. good luck getting the rest

Appreciate it....don't know why I love the cards so much since they're manufactured patches, but I'm working on the complete set. The only one I've completed is the Bird, but I'm SO CLOSE on a few others. If there's anything I've learned after putting the Bird together it's to be patient and not over pay. Others will pop up. I have the advantage knowing what I previously paid for multiple cards so if other bidders want to pay more then I'm okay with that.

The seller of the Sean Taylor card's username starts with a W and ends with an n. If that helps lol.
