Jimmy Butler or Paul George?
Who would you take & why?
|
Give me Paul George over Butler all day.
|
Butler is the 2nd best two way player in the game behind Kawhi Leonard. He's the best SG in the league this season. Both are great players, but I would take Jimmy.
|
Not even close... PG all the way brother! Butler has better defense.... But PG is the overall the better player imo.

So let me get this straight... You say that Paul George is the better player. We agree that Jimmy is the better defender, because that is obvious. Lets look who shoots the ball better.. oh its Jimmy. So Jimmy shoots the ball better, is the better defender, averages more assists, less turnovers but George is the better player? I'm sorry but that makes no sense. |
Butler, He is arguably main reason Bulls despite lackluster roster are so good.

There's this guy called LeBron James who is also laughing at this dumb comment too. FOH @ Butler being a better 2 way player than LeBron lol. |
PG any day of the week for me...why? because I think he would give my team a better chance to win

To begin with I posted my opinion. All of our opinions are subjective. PG: 2015-2016 6'9 Height 220 Weight 3.9 Turnovers 2.9 3PT-M 3.3 FT-M 7.4 Rebounds 4.0 Assits 2.0 Steals 23.9 Points JB: 2015-2016 6'7 Height 220 Weight 2.0 Turnovers 1.2 3PT-M 6.7 FT-M 5.1 Rebounds 4.2 Assits 1.8 Steals 22.6 Points Stats are close. Butler has better defense & better FG%. PG is the better scorer and rebounder. Butler averages less T.O.'s. PG plays the 2, 3, & 4. Butler plays the 2 & 3. Sorry, I'd take PG any day. Better scorer, rebounder, leaner/stronger, multi position. His multi position makes him the better option for most teams. He can lead a team and locker room.... I like Butler, don't get me wrong... I was just answering the OP's question. |
Pg for the future. I think he is still getting back into the swing of things this season since his injury. Pg was on a tear an upwards trend playing wise before the injury. I think butler will be better this season when looking at stats.
|
I'll take Butler.
One thing you might consider is the huge leaps Butler has made the past few years. I honestly don't think he's reached his full potential. Love George, but I would take Butler if I was building MY team. |
Oh, by the way, I don't think George is ''stronger'' than Butler, but not sure how you would prove/disprove it.
LOL |
Most folks are Bulls haters and will take PG.
Us Bulls fans know that JB shuts down PG every night. Would love a playoff matchup to prove this nonsense. |
Let's not forget that PG is still making it back to where he was prior to injury- being lebron's top competitor. Lebron and pg have so many big-time showdowns and def had a rivalry building between themselves and their teams. I'd take PG assuming he continues his rise back to and beyond where he was when he broke his leg.
|
I think Paul George has a higher ceiling

My first thought was exactly this. Nobody is playing better than Butler right now and he is playing lights out on a team and city who still want Rose to be the #1 guy (stop lying to yourselfs bulls fans...you know it's true). It's very very close but I'd take Butler. |

Highly doubt it. He should more concerned on how to beat GS should they meet again in the finals. |
I would go with Butler, PG turns the ball over too many times and relies on the long ball.
|
George, better range otherwise they're close.
|
I'll take PG, thank you.
|
Give me jimmy on my squad but PG13 if I'm out partying.
|
The fact that this is a conversation shows have much each of them have improved during the years. It's to the point in which you can't go wrong picking either way.

I agree, I find myself going back and forth |
I collect Paul George and I'm a biased fan, but this year I would take Butler, the best SG in the league right now.
PG was incredible the first games of the season, but back from the injury he needs some rest and I do believe that while he has healed he has not yet regained his explosiveness he had prior to the injury :( His defense is not as great as it once was (see the last game against the Nuggets for instance), and he makes too many turnovers (160" TO's for the 1st half of the season & on track for 300 TO's for the season). |
Jimmy Buckets all day every day over PG.
