Greetings from Buffalo
Yeah, I'm another new guy...
I've got about 50,000 cards from 81 - 96, around 60% baseball with the rest basketball and football, predominantly common kindling as one would expect from busted boxes and factory sets from that era.
I've also got a few 60's and 70's cards I picked at shows back in the day. Of course I should have spent more time and money focusing on vintage rather than busting boxes, some advice that might be as applicable today, if I can be permitted such commercial heresy.
I'm in the process of cataloging and pricing anything over about a $1+ Becket NM-MT value, and trying out grading on some of the better cards. Next up: the ebay learning curve to see what the little wheat in the mountain of chaff will yield.
But hey, I'm retired now and winter has finally come to Buffalo, so what better time to get after it before golf season comes around next April? Something tells me this might be a multi-winter project.
