1969 Topps/Mets Additions
Picked up a tough PSA 8 1969 Topps Koosman Deckle Edge for my '69 Mets PC:
PSA says there are 22 8's with only two graded higher. Also, starting a mini-collection of 1969 Topps wrappers with this: Didn't realize/remember that there are different variations until I started looking. Planning on displaying them with an empty box. |
Awesome card and vintage wrappers are the best looking packs ever.

Your 69 Mets PC is nice! Great stuff!!

Thanks! If I had the wrappers from all the packs I opened in 1969, I could be a wealthy man from selling them. :p
Your 69 Mets PC is nice! Great stuff!!
Thank you very much! It's constantly being added to. I just need to finish the room in my house and display it all.
Awesome pickups man!
Thank you, sir! |
Hey now, none of this '69 Mets business. Although I wasn't alive, I'm still not over it.

I only have '69 & '86, so please, be kind.:)! |
I figured I'd make this a running thread and update as I pick up more '69 Mets PC items.
Here's my latest: Ken Boswell & Ed Kranepool 1969 Topps buybacks. I've got 11 of the 28 '69 Topps Mets in buyback cards. This set is going to be close to impossible to complete due to Seaver & Ryan being in it, but it won't stop me from trying. |
My latest addition to my '69 Mets PC isn't a card:

Champs inscription and Ryan Foundation certification. |
Two more non-card additions arrived yesterday:
Rod Gaspar & Jim McAndrew auto's on OMLB baseballs with JSA certification. I also bought a jersey frame for the Nolan Ryan auto'd jersey so when I get that put together, I'll post pics. |
I picked this up last night off of eBay:
Full/unused ticket from the game where the Mets clinched the 1969 National League pennant by beating the St. Louis Cardinals 6-0. This game was attended by 54,928 fans at Shea Stadium and, at the time, was the biggest crowd ever to see a Mets game there. I've been on eBay since 1999 and have never seen a full ticket from this game before so I couldn't hit the Buy-It-Now quick enough! |

Thanks!! The signature and inscription really pops. I bought a black jersey frame to display it in so it'll really stand out once it's displayed.:)! |
Just picked this up off of eBay:
1969 Topps Kevin Collins autograph. The personalization is what sold it because it just happens to be my first name. |
Picked up a tough auto tonight:
Les Rohr auto'd OMLB ball. Mr. Rohr only pitched 1 game during the 1969 season, 19Sep, giving up 5 hits, 1 walk and 3 earned runs. |
