2014 Leaf Cut Signature Edition: History of Baseball, Solid One Box Break!

Went to Target today to buy my father Christmas Presents and treated myself to a box, I'm satisfied even at $40! :)

Man that's rough. Oh well. You can't win them all.

Agdead 12-13-2014 03:44 PM

I think he meant I say "nice pull, congrats"

Zan 12-13-2014 04:48 PM

You got this at Target???

bravezfan4life 12-13-2014 05:21 PM

Bob feller unfortunately probably won't sell anywhere near what the box cost

I bought one of these dogs with fleas….I had no idea they were $40….I almost put it back when she rang it up (I assumed it was $20 when I took it off the shelf). But I figured, "what the hell"….
I pulled an old codger executive who's in the HOF (BFD frankly) named Lee MacPhail. The animals from Leaf clearly bought a signed HOF postcard from EBay for $6 (and that would be the high end of cost), slabbed it for probably another $1-$2 and then sold it to me for $40. I went against my new mantra….no more boxes of cards - authenticated game-used only, but it was a spur of the moment purchase……reminds me why I no longer buy boxes of cards (retail or otherwise)…..

Ouch. I don't even think $6 would be right. Lee used to sign for free through the mail.

That's a sweet pull! It doesn't matter the value, that would be a nice card to own

Davesportscards 12-13-2014 09:27 PM

That's awesome, I'd be happy with that :)

JDF5244 12-14-2014 12:33 AM

To RelicCollector and DavesSportsCards...I wasn't exaggerating...I think you can buy the card Leaf cut up for $6 or less on EBay (if you want one)....

TylerSchmidt28 12-14-2014 11:59 AM

I do realize now it doesn't come close to making up for the $40 I spent but I'm over it, it's still a pretty nice card and cool piece to the collection even if I could have got a similar card for $10. I wasn't opening it expecting a lot of value or to sell what was inside, except I have seen two people pull a Sandy Koufax now, but it's still pretty cool. But I see everyone's point above and how ridiculous it is in fact. Oh well I fell for it haha, points for Leaf.

jrosales 12-14-2014 12:17 PM

Even if that card wasn't worth $40, I'd be very happy to add a cut auto of one of the greatest pitchers in history to my collection.

rcearley 12-14-2014 12:20 PM

Nice pull for $40, looks much better than the cuts from Topps Dynasty that cost $350 per box.

Very True!

If the OP is happy, that is all that matters. Feller is an often forgotten awesome pitcher.
