Greatest Mailday Ever! Thanks FASTBIRD

Through the BO forums, I saw that FASTBIRD made custom cases used to display sports cards in whatever holder you have your cards in [magnetics, screwdowns, bgs cases, psa cases, etc]. I contacted FASTBIRD and told him what I wanted in a display.

I wanted a black wooden case that would have 7 rows with each row holding 7 different 130pt magnetic cases for my Museum Collection Gold Framed Autos. He said he could do it. He showed me pictures of other cases he had done and I liked the work. I figured I give it a shot and order one up.

I have to say, FASTBIRD communicated with me very well through every step of the case building process [each PM included pictures so I could see the progress of the case]. When FASTBIRD finished the case, he shipped it out right away and packaged it really well. The case arrived with no damage.

The case has 7 rows with each row holding 7 different 130pt magnetic cases. It has a black velvet sheet on the back of the case and an acrylic glass type cover on the front that slides down from to the top of the case, to protect the cards. Also, there is a metal in the back of the case that holds the magnetic cases firmly. I have tilted the case over 50 degrees and not one of the cards have come loose from the case and tipped over onto the acrylic case. I am still debating which wall to hang it onto.

My collection wouldn't be what it is without this case. This case really completes it, thanks FASTBIRD.

That was going to be my next post but if the magnetic cases are the UltraPro gold ones, then those are UV protected.

MikeWilliamsFan 06-29-2014 03:55 PM

INCREDIBLE!!!!

The magnetic case are the Ultra Pro gold ones that have the UV protection. I am not sure on the acrylic glass cover. I didn't request it be UV protected since the magnetic holders already had it. That and the fact that where I will hang the case will never be exposed to direct sunlight.

Unreal bruh. Just speechless. Freaking awesome man!

Fastbird 06-29-2014 05:45 PM

Thanks a ton for the positive feedback! I'm sincerely glad you're happy with it.

For those who were asking, the acrylic I use is advertised as UV Stabilizing, not a 100% UV block but more of a filter to keep from fading what underneath.

Do you mind me asking, how much did you charge with shipping cost to do this?

Fastbird 06-29-2014 07:24 PM

I charged $100 for the frame itself, and shipped it on my dime due to a lengthy delay in the construction process due to my work schedule. To duplicate would be $125 shipped.

tazzy13 06-29-2014 10:25 PM

I may need to enlist your services for my '12 BDPP orange auto set. I've been dragging my feet on designing a display case myself, and this really looks great.

I am in awe of the whole thing......cards and display. My jaw dropped.

I couldn't agree more. AWESOME collection and seriously top notch work on the case!

Well done on both sides.
