What value/worth would you put on my PC?
 

Just thought it would be fun to see what other collectors would value my collection of Gaines at.

Now I know I know the 'Gaines market' better then anyone if you could call it that but I thought this would be interesting.

Let me know what your thoughts are!

Not quite sure what you're hoping to get out of this... most people wouldn't know or care who Gaines is, so you'll be getting biased/uncaring figures.

The fact that Gaines has a card from the greatest set of all time definitely helps the value of your collection (ultimate logoman)

Can I ask how much was spent in total on all of your Reece pieces?

Haha well that wouldn't make this any fun. I actually don't know exactly but could probably estimate. I'll say it's def. over $500 though :-) but that's all you'll get out of me.

Fair enough however as we all know here, amount paid doesn't necessarily represent the worth. In fact the two numbers can be far off.

Votes are very varied. Interesting to see.

I must be overestimating it since I'm the only one who picked 4k-5k. Fact is you have a lot. I just estimated the individual price for all the categories and multiplied it by how much you had in each category.

I'd say between $4-5K, if you piece it out! Awesome collection!

i picked $500-$1000 just off of a pure guess. i looked up reece gaines most expensive card that sold on ebay recently. it was a 3clr exquisite rpa that went for 37.50. while you do have 26 1/1s im not sure if all of them are valuable. 1/1s are not as valuable as back in the day... actually 1/1s are kind of dime a dozen if you include all those printing plate 1/1s. again i dont know which 1/1s you have so this is a pure guess. if i were to vote again it might be in the 1k-2k range. but most of those autos probably would only sell for $1-$3 nowdays. maybe not even that on a given week.

however its an impressive collection, very cool to be published in beckett and logoman's are always cool no matter the player. thanks for sharing.

I would vote priceless, it's freaking cool how you pieced together all those rare inserts from 03/04. That Ultimate Logoman is a legendary card, you are the true definition of a collector my friend

PS who knows, maybe Reece Gaines himself might be interested in your collection one day. That would be an awesome collection for him to pass down to his children/grandchildren. Just my opinion :)!

I voted $500, maybe the collection could push $1k if you're lucky. The only valuable card I see is the rookie logoman auto, and I would put a value of around $100-$150 on that, and outside of the Exquisite rookies you have, I think everything else is worthless.

I went with around $3k but that is if you were to sell as a lot. I reckon you would have spent close to $5k all up.
How'd I do?

I could see the logoman being in the high hundreds as that's a damn nice set.
However I hardly see any interest in much of the rest... So I'd say overall the mid-high $1000s - like $1600-1800

*edit - sorry I left out the 1/1s... so I'd say around $2300 total.

I voted 500-1k. I really enjoy seeing this article come up again and I've come to a conclusion that if you were to sell it the value you spent and the value you now have is significantly less bc he doesn't get any marketability. I personally wouldn't even consider selling your pc. It's more in time, money and just thrill of collecting. I see your pc worth whatever someone would purchase it at, and I would be comfortable selling at 900 if there was a value.
On a side note I miss your thread battles with orangello. Best of luck on future pickups.

Id say that logo is borderline a 1000$ card

I voted $2000-$3000. You probably have at least $500 in the Exquisite RCs based on the last one selling at a little over $30. If you say $25 a piece that would be $550. But it would depend on whether you pieced them out over time, or sold them all at once..
