Joshua Werner Viceroy Space! Commission Thread
 

So, this Space! set was right in my wheelhouse and as a result I went a little overboard on the commissions from the most impressive [URL="http://www.asfallleavesillustration.com/"]Joshua Werner[/URL].

So I ordered 10. And I made it extremely clear that he could take his sweet time on these. And a couple days ago, I got the 10 cards plus 50-60 cards signed by him of base sets he had worked on PLUS magnets and postcards he had designed PLUS an original piece of 8x10 watercolor done on arches paper signed by him -- an original of a set that is yet to be released! Once that set comes out, I'll upload it but for now let's concentrate on the magnificent work he did on the 10 APs:

Yes! Please share. His work was insanely good in that set. They didn't last long on eBay. Did you notice some of his sketches seemed to be inspired by the old Ursania's Mirror book? Real class. I was fortunate to get Canis Major.

Wow,very cool subject on this one. One of the first astronomers. Nice....A change from the common,nebula,space ship etc. I love it.

Yeah, he wanted to do early space and I mentioned that most of the Chinese and Persian astronomers got the shaft historically and (unsurprisingly) on this set. He wanted to know more and ... so I sent him a five page e-mail hahaah. I gave him lots of options and told him to pick which ones seemed to work best for him ... I'm hoping he picked the [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antikythera_mechanism"]antikythera mechanism[/URL] for one of them :)!
