2005 Bowman Chrome A-Rod Throwback Autographs #94AR 1994 SF #1/1
2 Attachment(s)
Sorry it took so long to get a scan of this card up but here it is. It is graded a BGS 9 and is very authentic and very missing the autograph and stickers.
Last time my post on this card got out of control and was deleted so I please ask that everyone be nice this time around. Thanks |
Round 2 begins!
|
Can I see a scan of the 1/1 serial numbering?
Oh wait.... |

Great pull, congrats. They were like one in half a billion odds or something.
|
Congratulations. You have an error card of one of the biggest cheats in the history of sports. The rest of the world should bow at the altar of DavePeters.

You missed the first thread I take it? This was one of those non auto'd cards that either were backdoored or slipped into packs accidentally. The OP has said he plans on getting A-Rod to sign it and pull a sticker off some other auto and put it on this card. The sad part is, he is literally convinced that out of all of these, HIS is the TRUE 1/1 that wasn't autographed. |

God I love that phrase. As a simple American guy, I can't help but giggle like a 12 year old schoolgirl whenever I hear it. |
And I love your avatar. One of me favorite fillums. (Not taking the piss this time!)

Looks like Beckett didn't write on the Slab that it was the "Superfractor" they obiviously forgot that this was was surely the 1/1. Have you called to speak with anyone about that?
|
To be honest. Two things make it worthless...
On the back. NOT VALID WITHOUT STICKER, there is no sticker And that Beckett graded it. The slab says missing auto and sticker...I feel if it is a 1/1 and worth something, they would have put ERROR card like they do on some |

I am still unsure about that whole superfractor thing. I know most websites online that have a checklist of this set list this card as a superfractor but I don't think there was a superfractor autograph version. I didn't even realize the SF meant superfractor till someone pointed that out in the last thread and then I went to see and make sure it was what I thought it was. |
I thought most websites online, as opposed to websites offline, list this as a base auto. W/o stickers and auto.
|
People....go talk to your toliet. You will get it to understand much easier than you will the OP?

The other two cards are 2012 red refractors which should be serial numbered of /25 but aren't. I emailed Topps about those two cards and Topps did respond and basically said they are error cards. http://www.blowoutcards.com/forums/baseball/373777-2012-topps-chrome-baseball-error-cards.html I then emailed Beckett to ask how we could get these cards included in their online price guide or in print price guide since Topps did confirm they were errors and was told they were unsure if that would be possible. They did forward my email to the analyst who handles that stuff I guess but made a comment they might not include them because they are only serial numbered cards missing the serial numbers and that happens all the time. I am unsure if I were to send them in for grading if they would be labeled as errors or just labeled as missing the serial numbers. I will have to try and ask Beckett how they choose to include errors in their price guide and I agree that if this arod card doesn't ever get fixed it should be listed as an error perhaps in the guide and also on the BGS case. |
Bowman Quality Control Manager: Sir, I'm afraid we've ballsed up.
Bowman CEO: Really? Go on... BQCM: We've issued the ultra-rare A-Rod auto'd Superfractor 1/1 but there are a couple of minor faults. CEO: What faults exactly? BQCM: Well sir, we forget to affix the authentication stickers. CEO: Not the end of the world. BQCM: And we kind of forgot to get him to sign it. CEO: No problem, he signs loads for us. Send it off to him, he'll return it post haste. Is that all? BQCM: Not quite, sir. We forgot to superfract it. CEO: Ah, what the heck. Realease it anyway. Unless Dave Peters pulls it, I doubt anyone will notice. |

I don't think there is a base type autograph of this card. |
I thought it was a done deal that you had set up a meeting so he could sign it? Was that just a rouse? Not that it would make this card worth more than the $5 that it already is worth.
|
If you have to sell something this much, it isn't as valuable as you think.

One day the superfractor auto is going to surface and all of this will come to an end. One day... |
So if now topps nor beckett is calling it a 1/1 why is the salesman?
Is a card really 1/1 if it can be done to literally any autograph card? Wipe the auto off and remove a sticker WHAMO $$$ Besides its backdoored and not worth as much as you would like to pretend it is. |

The meeting was set with arod but I wanted someone from Topps to be there to authenticate and place the authentication stickers on the back of the card. Unfortunately Topps said they would not place the stickers on the card as it should have been done in the first place. |
OP, what do you think this card would bring at open auction, right now
