What does that mean? Last time I sold a card was Aaron Rodgers rookie year. Why would he want to bid it up?

ninjacookies 12-29-2012 05:41 PM

Probably because you spam links in wrong sections on card forums and sign up solely to spam.

Also, it's probably you shilling. So no need to question why and give the whole 'im a 16 year old virgin *schoolgirl voice*' act.

inconclusive.

vc1001 12-29-2012 05:44 PM

Honestly it's not me. Im just selling the card and that bidder is the last person who placed a bid. I thought it was pretty dope that I pulled that card after not buying/get a gift of sports cards in about 7 years.

And as for posting in the wrong section, my fault. I'm sure I'd figure out the lay of the land after 3,000 posts.

People like to protect there investments. Card manipulation is everywhere in the basketball card game. Its starting with football now it looks like..

vc1001 12-29-2012 05:48 PM

Well I hope whoever ends up winning the auction pays up.

Its all good. I was just letting you know in case you wanted to delete his bids?

Razorsharp79 12-29-2012 06:06 PM

This is buyer shill biddng it looks to me. Trying to make others think the seller is guilty of it to devalue the auction and hope another account of his can pick it up cheaper than the market value. And even if he cancels the 0 feedback guys bids the auction price will stay the same i think will it not?

best idea is to block him, now you might have to cancel his bids to block him, not sure

nice pull

vc1001 12-29-2012 06:07 PM

I just dont see what's in it for the "shiller." Unless they dont intend to pay. Which would be really lame.

thanks!

It might not be a bad idea. The bidder before him met the reserve. And that bid was from a very reputable bidder. The price of the card is only 50 more than that. I'm going to delete his bids. The card will still be above the reserve.

sunsfan8 12-29-2012 06:14 PM

It's not shilling, but it's a non-paying bidder. Watch out there.

yes i would cancel the 0 bids and block him so he does not sneak back in.

Also post in your description that no 0 feedback bidders are allowed. Those watching will see you cancelled his bids and that will make your reputation stand out to those interested in placing a bid especially on a high end card such as this

Good luck, need any help please let me know

I'm not sure though. The bidder has a pretty low feedback score, 26, but paid for an $850 and another higher end card recently. Has really good feedback on those purchases.

I'm with you on adding the language about zero history buyers. I just want a legit buyer and the end of the day.

zonacats8 12-29-2012 06:34 PM

The seller has zero feedback, why would anyone buy a card of this value from someone like that?

I'd never consider bidding on this card just because of that, add in the shilling and this is a listing I'd stay far far away from

I'm the seller. I have zero history because I havent had a reason to sell anything on eBay. I definitely have the card and I havent bid this card up one bit. I'm just wondering why someone else would if they dont have any intention of buying it.

Thanks for the advice. I went ahead and blocked the last bidder's bid. Last bidder had it up to the reserve price so the card will still sell...i really hope I didnt cancel a legitimate buyer! Anyway, the new top bidder has a great bidding history so hopefully that sheds some of this BS.
