Wall today - 38 points, 8 assists, 6 boards, 4 steals, 1 blk - 13-22 from the floor
Monster game today. He has been looking a lot better the last couple of games as he narrowly missed a triple double last time out falling short by a rebound and an assist.
Hopefully this is the beginning of great things after his mediocre play early this season! |
This is another good result for my fantasy team lol.
I knew it was only a matter of time until Wall started playing well. He has too much talent to be shooting and playing so badly. I don't think he'll ever be as good as Rose, but he'll be a star for sure. |

Yeah, he just has to try to create so much for this team that he does turn it over a lot. Today he only had 2 turnovers though in 44 minutes. |
Certainly made me happy as I've been buying his stuff up. Now if the Wizards can start winning a few games...

of course this happens after i trade him away for kyrie irving lol. i have wall in FOUR leagues, offered wall for irving in every league, and one guy bit. it's ok tho. irving is bananas good. wall will get better but it looks like his fg won't be so good this season.

Funny you should mention Irving. I have Wall in my Blowoutcards fantasy team. Someone offered me Irving for him, but I turned it down. I have a hard time deciding who is better in fantasy terms. I must admit, I hate the Yahoo fantasy setup. Some people have awful teams on paper and yet do well in fantasy terms. |
Awesome game by Wall.
I have a nice John Wall Limited Next Day RC Auto /99 if anyone is interested...lol :D |
Great game for John Wall, but they still lost and winning is what truly matters.

They aren't going to win with the players they have. The only players that have any talent are selfish and very inconsistent. |
Sick game indeed...but let's see how long he can keep up 'similar' numbers, especially considering he'll have to create all his own shots. That team is just DISMAL.
|
YEs Wall finally bringing in some positive stats, i was ready to trade him away for pretty much anyone.
|
It was such an ugly game for the Wizards.
Just to put a big ol' asterik next to his game, I'll tell you this. Id say abut 20-25 of his points came in transition off some total bricks by the Rockets. He got so many superstar calls. One time he committed an obvious offensive foul and it wound up being a 3 point play. I can also think of four other fouls off the top of my head where he was literally never touched. He also put up alot of those numbers against Houston's bench which is one of the worst benches in the league. But hot damn is he fast and has some incredible body control. -James |

Watching the NBA this season, it appears this league could contract and produce a far better product. Every single night you see spreads of -12 and much higher. How can a league of pros and have so MANY teams that are this bad? Time to cut some out, and that would make an interesting thread. |

Seems like every night a team is getting pasted by 30+ it is unreal nothing I have ever seen before. I blame it on the jack up schedule they are playing and the lock out with these guys not working out correct during the lock out. That being said they should drop about 6 teams three from each the east and west and the ball would be so much better. |

I agree. I guess this is why the 'small market' owners were so adamant on veto'ing the CP3--> Lakers deal, because it seems like the good teams just keep getting better and great players find very little incentive to go to a terrible team nowadays. Then when a good player goes to a bad team, he doesn't give his full potential and 'holds out' until he's either traded or offered more money. Definitely takes away from the purity of the game from past generations. |

and then he wonders why the coach decided to sit him out. this dude looks like he's 40 but acts like he's 16. is that play an entertaining play? yes. is that something you really want to risk doing in a close game for a team that has 1 win?? dude just has no shame, and doesn't even understand what he did wrong. |

i'm sure there are different circumstances for bad looking teams doing well, like facing teams w/ hurt players or underperformers. this season has been filled with a litany of injuries to key players, and a lot of teams are suffering from that. i've drafted guys like brook lopez stephen curry eric gordon that have all dragged my teams down hard. i would think irving will have more fantasy value than wall(even if wall has more games like today) because of the efficiency. he is significantly better in the shooting cats and wall's other attributes aren't dominating irving by any means, not to mention irving will continue to see more minutes as the season goes on. if irving keeps up this near 50/40/90 business, he's going to be easily top 20. |
John Wall + Cap Space should have Wizards fans smiling
