Topps Stranger Things Season 5 coming 1/2/26
 

Random drop but looks like we are getting a Season 5 set dropping next week. No idea on price or if it’s EQL or not. The two cards they previewed looked nice at least.

S5 has been a bit rough so far but those preview cards look nice!

Topps had this in their email they just sent out. Looks like a checklist is on the site as well. Under signers they just list the character and not the actor, which is odd. I haven't looked at a Topps checklist in awhile, so not sure if this is how they normally do it now.

Cards look quite nice, I love the Upside Down SP and the 85 Inserts. Stranger Things has been such an odd license for Topps. They did a few sets, then they had the online only hit packs which seemed like a sticker dump similar to what they did for Doctor Who when they lost the license. Then they did that Zerocool thing, and now this, which looks more like the sets they did when they started out.

I'll rip a case of this. I did a case of Topps High Tek Stranger Things and had a blast.

Wonder what the auto odds will be here. Also I suppose putting this on the site 2 days after the finale is a choice. How well it sells depends on if they stick the landing.

The '85s are great, and they've actually used the design before (along with other era-appropriate mid80's designs) in a seldom seen online exclusive set Topps made as an ordering incentive to help clear out unsold Season 2 blasters about 6 years ago.

Would it surprise anyone ?

Hopefully they can get some new characters to sign

I opened a bunch of zero cool and tek when it was 70 and 100 a box

But now it has got stupid …. Zero cool on average was 2-4 autos per case and tek was 6 auto per case

Just saying if these tools put 1 auto per box they will probably charge 300 dollars

Also saw only new auto is Billy. Which is great but holly and dip shiz Derik would of been great

Then obviously max and robin are big misses

Dr breener Bob Sam owns Mr Clark

So many new signers they could get

Yeah the 1 auto per box is great. However Topps pricing is indeed likely to put this at a crazy amount per box due to that. Not having any new signers besides Billy is definitely a miss.

Well, if the series finale's as well-received as the latest batch of episodes was, it'll get down to something reasonable sooner or later.

Considering the set size (quite small) I could see Hobby Boxes going the route of 8 packs per box, 5 cards per pack, MSRP of $199.99. Yes, $5+ a card.

I'm sure Millie BB, Harbour and Wolfhard will be SSP and SP autos.

All sticker autos too I bet, very unfortunate

That was my first thought as well. Overall, there’s been something like 8-10 releases? Would have been nice if they could have had on-card autos to wrap it up.

It might be 199.99 eql or topps com release

But when 90 percent of cases outside of breakers goes to blowout and Dave adams

These boxes will be 250-300 dollars

If this product has 2 hits per box 2 relic or relic and auto

I will be shocked if not 300. In this absurd monopoly card world

Only 25 base cards in the set and an auto per box and a ton of short prints and parallels. Sounds like the type of boxes that breakers love to open. Expect a lot of buying competition on this one.

Also…LOL at the thought of this selling well having anything to do with how well the show ends. Stuff like that did matter 10 years ago but now Most people gambling on this will have never watched a single episode.

The kids are set to be Comicon fixtures for the rest of their lives. MBB has the best shot of a continued career.

To me, Sadie Sink is clearly the front runner for post Stranger Things success. She’s going to be in the next Spider-Man movie. A few of them have also found success on Broadway.

The pre-2020 sets are the real shiners for autos

Indeed. I think the only way to get an on-card auto for MBB is if she ever does a signing with SWAU or another large agency.
