Michael Jordan camp autos
Saw this on Facebook and thought it was really cool. Made me wonder how many kept their autos and certificates. Has anyone here personally gone to a camp or owned/seen a camp auto with everything? Pic not mine

Wow didn't know about the certificate! I went and got a Wheaties poster signed. Still have it.

Pretty cool pre-UD MJ auto if real.

There was some guy in the comments who said he was a dealer/shop owner for decades and said he’s only seen like 3 of them ever. He also said he remembers one of the full signature certificates selling for over $10k back in early-mid 2000s. Would imagine it’s worth 5x that today if that info is accurate.

Best friend growing up went twice and his little brother also went once around around 1995-1998. Each camper was permitted one autograph and he got two autographed jerseys (first time red, second time the black with red pinstripes) and those have the UDA hologram with matching certificates. He also has the group pictures with MJ like the one above but I don't think he received any completion certificate signed by MJ as well. His little brother also got an autographed jersey on his trip with similar UDA certs.

Went to his Flight School in 2008. Every camper got one autograph which you handed the piece being signed directly to Jordan. There was an Upper Deck rep next to him to place the UDA sticker on the item and sign each certificate.
I got a Dream Team USA jersey. Still have it. And still have my team photo with Jordan and the report card from my coach. MJ would have daily contests for free sneakers. Final day of camp he played a camp wide (must've been 500 kids) game of knockout. He offered free sneakers to the entire camp if he lost. He won |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pics might not come out good uploading them here, but the auto is still clean. Was unaware we got an autograph with enrollment, so my mom and I scrambled last minute to find a jersey. Wanted a UNC jersey since I'm a huge Carolina fan, but struck out and ended up with this. Actually think it was ultimately the best option |

Always wondered how much that camp cost? My mom definitely couldn’t have afforded it but still curious. Guessing it was in the thousands lol
So, I actually won enrollment through Upper Deck on their old Upper Deck Kids site. They had some sort of contest where you had to upload codes on the backs of cards. I was pretty determined so I just searched all through eBay for scans of backs to upload every card I could lol. Was all expenses paid, but IIRC, a week long session was something like $2250. Which looking back, getting a jersey signed would more than pay for the cost alone. Was probably an incredible investment for kids with an actual future in basketball |

I went to MJ flight school in the 2000s and don't remember getting a certificate either. We were all allowed to have one item signed by him though with a UD COA. of course I picked a shoe...
