2025 Topps update horrible printing job
 

Finally found a few blasters out in the wild (5) and ripped them with my boys. 11 out of 18 holiday parallels look like the players took a dirt bath before the photo was taken. If you look at the Birdsong cards bottom left, one is correct, the other is messed up. 14/18 shown. Never seen this before.

It’s their way of controlling grading.

Topps basketball holiday glitter cards had people thinking they got punked by glitter bombs.

All the norm under Fanatics. Topps always had some printing issues in the past, but now Fanatics charges 50% more, often has crap quality, and the terrible pack odds as a bonus.

Seriously do you complain about every product? What are you going to do when Topps takes over completely? Wait until those blasters get to $55-$60 boy you will be complaining daily then. What would be perfect for you collecting and opening?

At least none of them were players any of us collect. I'm a sucker for opening stuff as much as my kids. We all have singles we collect as well, but it's occasionally fun to burn a little money chasing rare hits too.

Looks like the coating was contaminated by the dominant orange during it's application.
If the coating isn't heavy enough when applied it will draw the ink off onto the blanket that is used to apply it to the sheets due to increased ink tack.

Doesn't matter if it is varnish, aqueous coating or UV.

So yes, poor printing during the manufacturing.

I stopped buying sealed product produced by Fanatics. I'll buy singles and complain about the garbage value proposition until I leave the hobby or Fanatics gets better.

Not at all. I hate Topps. Some complain about every product by every company. Hey in 2026 yall will have plenty to complain about when Fanatics takes over everything.

Don't hold your breath. Fanatics will lose sleep over you leaving the Hobby. It will only get worse in 2026 when they own it all.
