2025 Topps Update: Pre-order, release day pricing
 

Any predictions on the price on the pre-release on Topps.com for 2025 Topps Update today?

Looking at some sites that listed last year's prices, I see that 2024 Update was available for pre-order on "September 17, with Hobby boxes selling for $87.99 and Jumbo boxes selling for $194.99. Release day prices were slightly higher, putting Hobby at $89.99 and Jumbo at $199.99." Is this information correct?

If so, does it seem likely that this year the price will be higher, more like $109.99 on pre-order, $119.99 on release day? I just seems that all prices are going up about 20% from last year.

Anyone have solid intel?

The end of archives? Bleacher reachers was a an archives insert these past few years. Also no more black gold?

And black gold is specifically called out on topps website.

Is Roman Anthony in it? Or are they saving him to pump up S1 next year?

Any chance at all we get a checklist today? Definitely not buying any without one.

Since Roman's Topps Now card this summer did NOT have the RC logo, we're assuming that he won't have a card until next year.

Marcelo Mayer did have the logo, so he will be in Update in all probability. He already had a Bowman RC card in the Bowman Chrome.

I think Kurtz will sell very well. Still, I really hope prices aren’t raised 20%

They’re not “saving” him for Series 1. He just missed the cutoff. Series 1 doesn’t need Roman Anthony to sell.

No mention of jumbo boxes in their tweet, but Topps posted hobby boxes go on pre sale for $90 today.

Almost every Topps presale releases exactly a month later. I would expect between 10/27 - 10/29

It has to be a glitch. I cannot imagine that they have sold out of everything already.
