A'ja Wilson 4 time MVP
There are only a handful of professional athletes who have won 4 MVP's.
Wayne Gretzky (9) Barry Bonds (7) Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (6) Gordie Howe (6) Peyton Manning (5) Bill Russell (5) Michael Jordan (5) Wilt Chamberlain (4) Lebron James (4) Eddie Shore (4) A'ja Wilson (4) Pretty impressive to add your name to that list! |
the wnba was cancelled after caitlin got injured

Odd comment. Caitlin Clark shoots 36% FG 27% 3P, while averaging 5 turnovers a game, while A'ja is a 50/40/90 player, being the best defensive player in the WNBA. |
no idea even which city or team she plays for
no idea even which city or team she plays for
case in point nobody cared or cares about the wnba unless caitlin clark is involved she plays for the las vegas aces - and no I didn't have to look that up. |
Odd comment.

WNBA has its challenges but when anyone excels in a sport, I tip my hat to them. She’s a hell of a player, competitor and carries herself well. |
It's hilarious how unappreciated the other great players in the league and in the history of women's basketball are. I never understood the whole hype watching her in college all I could see was a female Jimmer Fredette flying around out there.
One more injury or she keeps bricking 3s on the regular and this whole Caitlin Clark stuff will fizzle out soon enough, but hopefully some of the new fans she brought in will remain. |
Sorry OP, no one told you this board cares about one player in this league.
Aja doesnt even get the convo benefit of a Paige Bueckers as people can compare her rookie season to CC, or a Aliyah Boston or Sophie Cunningham because they are in CC’s orbit. Collier also had a great season and you wouldn’t know she exists on here lmao |
WNBA is still going on thought it was over

Thought that Cynthia Cooper had achieved it before but I was wrong.
That's pretty impressive by A'ja. |

Everyone did I only knew because of that Coach getting fired… and it said the games were still happening |
I always find it funny when the culture warriors get all upset when people don’t act excited about some WNBA thing.
Genuinely, people do not care about the WNBA. No matter how hard the media pushes it, nobody is going to care besides the tiny niche that did already. It’s boring and bad basketball. |

How many do you think she ends up with?

I'll bet most of us don't even care about one player. |
MPJ's Thai transfemme liaison being more of a household name than the WNBA's equivalent of Kobe is sinister work.
"The league and WNBA kards are in a healthy place." -CC investors sometime around mid-July. |
She may be undervalued from a hobby perspective. Plenty of buying opportunities.

A 70 page thread a few posts down says otherwise haha |

If no one cares, she isn't undervalued. You have to be able to sell. |

No one cared about the '52 Mantle in '52. If the WNBA does gain traction eventually, Wilson will be one the the historical pillars. |
Women have to support the WNBA first. And they don't.
The WNBA has had 25 YEARS to gain traction. And they didn't. Until Caitlin Clark. Everyone in that league should be thankful to her. But they aren't. They are the opposite. You see the idiocy of thinking that the WNBA is a viable commodity? |
