Man ..R.I.P. Thunderlips!
|
Never thought this guy was a very good wrestler but he was a great entertainer. Hard to get past his controversies though, and he basically single handedly put WCW in the ground with crap like that .gif with Rodman which was a bummer.
Oh and No Holds Barred is still under rated. |
Man, what a rough week.
That Bash at the Beach heel turn and what followed made wrestling in the 90's. It forced the business to change. RIP Hulk, may you and the Macho Man reunite the Mega Powers on the other side |
Huge Hogan fan when I was a child but he turned out to be a real life heel.
Undertaker gave him the tombstone of life. |
Haven’t watched wrestling since probably 1990 but this one hurts. When we question what an icon is, Hulk Hogan is the answer.
|
First Ozzy, now the Hulkster. Two Legends, now gone.
I still remember going to my friend's house and watching Wrestlemania 5 and 6. Hulk was one of my favorites growing up and continued watching him during his time with the NWO. Hulk was more than a wrestler, he was an icon. R.I.P. Oh and No Holds Barred is still under rated.
Like real wrestling outside of the professional circuit or the acting part of it? Definitely a 80s-90s pop culture mega star. |
and he basically single handedly put WCW in the ground with crap like that .gif with Rodman which was a bummer.
This is laughably incorrect. Guess this is what we're gonna get today from people who don't actually follow Wrestling. |
I probably enjoyed his time as Hollywood in WCW more than the Hulkster persona. Undeniable impact on wrestling.
|
He was a huge part of the 1980s WWF success and the mainstreaming of wrestling.
Macho Man, Miss Elizabeth, Jake the Snake, George The Animal Steele, Iron Sheik, Leaping Lanny, Andre the Giant, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Ultimate Warrior, Ted DiBiase and others were the pioneers of the modern wrestling stars. RIP Terry |
Think I’m going with WM5 tonight
Not sure why. That’s the pick though |

Never meet your heroes in the flesh. |

will always have that Hogan vs Goldberg for WCW title in my mind with how wild the crowd was for it |
RIP Hulkster. Talk about a wild ride. Bubba the Love Sponge and Hulk Hogan was crazy.
|
A little part of my childhood is gone today! Regardless of his outside the ring issues. The wrestler was still every little kids hero. His time as Hollywood brought the Monday night wars to a whole new level and was a great time to be kid.
RIP Hulkster |
Saw one of his 1st matches in the WWWF at the Boston Garden,
Beat Dominic Dinucci in 8 seconds. Am I the ONLY one who is shocked Flair outlived Hulk |

Ric did have a close call 8 years ago...but as far as I can tell he was never into the "physique" part of wrestling...and all he's known for (healthwise) is his drinking issues |
The leg drop did him dirty
Should have had a way easier finisher |
The leg drop did him dirty
