AL Catcher: Cal Raleigh, Mariners First base: Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Blue Jays Second base: Gleyber Torres, Tigers Third base: José Ramírez, Guardians Shortstop: Jacob Wilson, Athletics Outfield: Aaron Judge, Yankees Outfield: Riley Greene, Tigers Outfield: Javier Báez, Tigers Designated hitter: Ryan O’Hearn, Orioles Pitchers: Hunter Brown/Astros, Kris Bubic/Royals, Aroldis Chapman/Red Sox, Garrett Crochet/Red Sox, Jacob deGrom/Rangers, Max Fried/Yankees, Josh Hader/Astros, Yusei Kikuchi/Angels, Andres Munoz/Mariners, Tarik Skubal/Tigers, Shane Smith/White Sox, Bryan Woo/Mariners Backup position players: Jonathan Aranda/Rays, Alex Bregman/Red Sox, Byron Buxton/Twins, Jazz Chisholm Jr./Yankees, Alejandro Kirk/Blue Jays, Steven Kwan/Guardians, Brandon Lowe/Rays, Jeremy Pena/Astros, Julio Rodriguez/Mariners, Brent Rooker/Athletics, Bobby Witt Jr./Royals NL National League Catcher: Will Smith, Dodgers First base: Freddie Freeman, Dodgers Second base: Ketel Marte, Diamondbacks Third base: Manny Machado, Padres Shortstop: Francisco Lindor, Mets Outfield: Ronald Acuña Jr., Braves Outfield: Pete Crow-Armstrong, Cubs Outfield: Kyle Tucker, Cubs Designated hitter: Shohei Ohtani, Dodgers Pitchers: Jason Adam/Padres, Matthew Boyd/Cubs, Edwin Diaz/Mets, MacKenzie Gore/Nationals, Clayton Kershaw/Dodgers, Freddy Peralta/Brewers, Robbie Ray/Giants, Randy Rodriguez/Giants, Chris Sale/Braves, Paul Skenes/Pirates, Logan Webb/Giants, Zack Wheeler/Phillies, Yoshinobu Yamamoto/Dodgers Backup position players: Pete Alonso/Mets, Corbin Carroll/Diamondbacks, Hunter Goodman/Rockies, Elly De La Cruz/Reds, Brendan Donovan/Cardinals, Matt Olson/Braves, Kyle Stowers/Marlins, Eugenio Suarez/Diamondbacks, Kyle Schwarber/Phillies, Fernando Tatis Jr./Padres, James Wood/Nationals -- The only truly bad selection to me that wasn't a 'we have to pick someone from every team' kind of guy was Jazz Chisholm. How he's on there and not Paredes is a choice for sure. |
I'm not going to get too wedgied about Michael Busch not making it, as I assume someone will drop out and he will get added still.
|
Looks good to me. Prob have a couple alternates get in that could of made it originally
|
Weird not to see Trout, I guess Kickuchi was the pity pick for the Angels.
|
Not fair that an Oakland Athletic is starting over A man named Bobby.
Waaaaaaahhhhhhhh. |
Pages > Tatis
|
Juan Solo is going to go Wookiee and have a monster second half.
|
I assume Caminero will be an injury replacement, but he should be in over Bregman, Chisholm or Lowe
Suzuki should be in over Tatis Cristopher Sanchez deserves to be in and I assume he will be an injury replacement for Sale |

Someone will get in as a replacement for Carrol. Pages? Suzuki? Soto?
|
Disagree.
Care to elaborate more? He's 23rd in the AL among position players in fWAR. Being on the field matters. He's having a lovely season, but he's not been better than Paredes or several other infielders/outfielders. |
How in the world did Julio make it?
|
Suzuki and Pages should be all-stars.

Now there's a shocker. |
Care to elaborate more?
No, not really. I will say that he’s been hot at the plate lately. |

^ This guy gets it. |
How in the world did Julio make it?
Well not sure what metric they use or how they pick but as far as war for outfielders in the AL he’s like top 3 |

That’s probably the only way he made it. |
No, not really.
I will say that he’s been hot at the plate lately.
Oh, this is more of a "I'm a homer" thing then a factual thing? Totally fine, just own it. |

I do. |
I actually have 0 whining for this All Star Team
|
Upon further review Julio now wins worst All-Star selection of a player that isn't on because of the dumb team rule.
I doubt players/managers look at defensive metrics/WAR when making selections, but regardless, I don't think an All-Star game bid should be based on your defense when you have a 101 wRC+ (otherwise Rafaela should be in ahead of him) |
MLB RBI king Seiya Suzuki
Absolutely deserved this year Suzuki is on pace for over 50 home runs and 150 RBIs. |

What AL outfielders have more? Who should have made it instead of him? Judge buxton Greene already in there. Just curious highly doubt is the worst selection ever |
No Soto is brutal
