De Niro or Pacino
Who do you think is the better actor/has the better filmography?
When De Niro gives the guy that vicious shoeing in The Irishman it just might be his greatest performance. |

I prefer DeNiro by a fair amount but he’s definitely been in some bad movies the last 20 years or so. Like many guys my age I’m a huge fan of both. Seeing them face off in Heat is still a treat to watch.
Favorites for each: Pacino- Godfather 1 and 2 Serpico Dog day afternoon Donnie Brasco Heat Carlito’s Way Heat Glengarry Scarface DeNiro- Bang the drum slowly Mean streets Godfather 2 Deer Hunter Raging Bull Once upon a time in America Angel heart Midnight Run Goodfellas Cape fear Night and the city Mad dog and glory This boys life Bronx tale Casino Jackie Brown Wag the dog Ronin Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Nah hes from a newer era; by the time he made his film debut let alone became a star De Niro and Pacino already had numerous classics under their belt. If you’re looking for a third I’d take Jack Nicholson. Maybe Gene Hackman. Or Dustin Hoffman. |
De Niro but Pacino had more varied roles.
|
Man this is tough. I think I gotta go Bobby, but Scarface is just such a great performance...
|
Pesci and it’s not even close.

Jack would be a good choice for their contemporary but he wouldn’t finish 3rd. |

It’s the same movie. Get some past their time old actor to play a raunchy character for cheap laughs. Yawn. |

I voted De Niro but Pacino in "Scent of a Woman" is an all time favorite.
Heat another all time favorite minus the ending. |
