Curious if he will be in studio doing live analysis or is this going to be pre recorded stuff they can throw in from time to time?

Maybe just throwing up memes every once in a while? |
He probably got the heads up about Flagg and figured he should get another gig. I know he's not majority owner, but the nba is never going to care about Charlotte.

I don't know what to think about MJ providing commentary and analysis for games -- he's not the type of colorful personality as someone like Charles Barkley.
What kind of analysis would he provide, anyway? So-and-so team did a good job of hitting an efficient amount of three pointers? The modern game is all about chucking threes -- it's totally different from MJ's era. But one thing is for certain, the NBA on NBC theme from the 90s is epic -- it was peak television and you were given high production value. |

Looks like part-time studio analyst with Carmelo: https://awfulannouncing.com/nba/michael-jordan-nbc-role-details.html |
If MJ shares stories and is willing to laugh at himself/not take himself too seriously, it'll be great.
If he's guarded and his image is his top priority (as it has been for decades), then it'll come across as sterile and boring. But MJ can be an excellent interview/talking head when he wants to be. |
Vince Carter also joining the studio crew: https://awfulannouncing.com/nbc/vince-carter-studio-lineup.html
Watch this NBA and NBC opening from 1998 narrated by Bob Costas and tell me you don't get chills: https://youtu.be/zbjXCPZKsg0?si=jah37J0zp30_cELP |

MJ is one of the most insightful past players to listen to. If he just talks about the game it will be great. We don't need a comedy skit. |
