I'm all for more match-worm relics so this seems pretty sweet. I'm assuming they'll be very expensive but maybe I can pick up the Erik or Ivar copy for a reasonable price

Dacubs2 04-15-2025 06:55 PM

I like it!!

Chris P 04-16-2025 08:52 AM

I like the idea but it's just another lotto type hit that will drive up box prices to even more ridiculous prices and most people wanting to hit them don't even want the card itself, they just want a payday

ThatGuyPal 04-16-2025 08:58 AM

Baseball ate it up they knew WWE marks would too lol I’m jus waiting for the Topps card patch they start wearing to make into cards

Biggest take away is "this year"

I think this is pretty cool, but I also find it humorous that chunky event patch cards like this were laughed at by and completely undesirable to a majority of collectors when they were bulk blaster box inserts for many years in Topps products, and are now going to be grail piece product hits simply because they were in contact with a wrestler's butt for a few hours. :)!

Yeah, but those bulk blaster box patches weren’t tied to any event or worn by the athlete.

Im surprised Topps has yet to do bowman nxt set. 1st bowman could be popular

Jey's was on the top band of his pants. It was blocked by whatever the tail thing was sticking out

blingbrian 04-20-2025 09:22 PM

Cena has it on his towel. Kinda lame that its not on him

They wanted the Austin shirt that was prob widely available there? I’m not getting this if that’s the shirt

SteigerWRX 04-29-2025 09:58 AM

It's such a bad look for Topps to announce what will become a coveted special edition patch (i.e. Baseball debut patch) and have one get loose before they even make it into cards.

Is it though? I like to look at things realistically and not how things “should be”. Beyond 85% or more prob not ever even knowing about this, we have dealt with fake Messi autos in Topps products, products signed by a person who wasn’t on the card despite saying “viewed by a Topps representative” and I’m sure similar to Panini there’s prob been rumours of breakers getting big Topps hits……yet people still buy if a new product goes on sale tomorrow everyone will be rushing to order so in the large scheme of things it’s not really a bad look at all

A bad look doesnt necessarily mean somrthing thats going to effect their bottom line. Nor does the "they've had other issues, whats one more?" excuse it. It was one of the first "innovative" things the hobby has had in some time. Was a huge hit for baseball. So for the first ones for wrestling to literally get traded by someone unknown person for merch.... just seems like a bad look to me. Doesnt change that I'm going to chase them, buy one, etc. But to each their own.

whitmm 04-29-2025 11:11 AM

I guess we'll have to wait and see which wrestler doesn't get a card made to find out which wrestler it supposedly came from.

The story does seem pretty sketchy. Some random guy in the crowd gets pulled backstage because some, I'm assuming, random wrestler wanted his shirt? And they wanted it so bad that they just willingly gave up the patch that they knew Fanatics was going to be asking about? All while wanting to remain anonymous? What sounds more likely is that there was a stack of extras

whitmm 04-29-2025 11:13 AM

Will be interesting to see how the main roster debut patches sell.

Crosby 87 04-29-2025 11:44 AM

Whole story is made up and he had a patch created is the most possible reason

LaloSalamanca 04-29-2025 03:56 PM

Yeah the story is legit insane. They wanted a WWE PRODUCED Stone Cold shirt? Unless it was signed by the roster or something crazy...yeah, no lol

Joshi City 04-29-2025 10:39 PM

If any of that story is true it likely was just an extra patch, no doubt they made more then they needed. Seems... impossible that a wrestler wore the patch, got it removed, and then someone gave it to a random fan for a shirt they were wearing.

Yeah that's what I assumed as well. No way someone was given this to put on their gear and was like wait I need to trade this guy I see in the crowd for his shirt.

Kingofkings1281 04-30-2025 09:08 PM

Considering those Austin shirts were widely available the entire weekend, I find this really hard to believe. You could have pulled a thousand other people out of the crowd, or, you know, gone to WWE world.
