Jurickson Profar suspended for PEDs?
 

Rumor has it that Profar got busted for PEDs. No bueno. The good news is that the Braves can't get any worse right now. :D We suck real good.

At least his late career resurgence makes sense now.

last season makes a lot more sense now. They should've tested Tatis Jr. before releasing the report so he wouldn't have time to flush his system

He released a statement. Doesn't make any excuses, other than the "I'd never knowingly take a banned substance." So he must have started a new supplement this off season. He's not fighting it.

He did mentioned he tested clean 8 times last season.

Based on his testing results, he's about 8 weeks pregnant...

I guarantee at least 75% of the league is on some sort of PEDs. Tests are easy to beat unless you're a moron.

Most likely he's been using stuff his entire career and this is the first time he got caught.

He hit 24 HR last year. He's hit 20 HR two other years. He's pretty much a 15-20 HR guy when he gets 600 AB. WAR was better last year for the nerds but he probably had a 20% better season then average last year. It's not like some Brady Anderson situation.

Most simple explanation would be that this failed test occurred at an unfortunate period of his doping cycle. Alternative explanations for why he’d finally have a detectable HCG level include errors in his dosing, inadequate hydration, and a new regimen.

He had a 139 wRC+ and up to that point he had a career wRC+ of about 95. If you look, he had the highest BABIP of his career. You all can think whatever you want about PED theories, I think he just was lucky last year more than anything.

If adults think a PED makes him go from being a below league average hitter to one of the best in the game, or if adults think he was always on PEDs and they finally worked after all these years, I got lots of beachfront property in Nebraska to sell all of you.
