How do you feel about this almost 'deal?'

An eBay seller, with 30K+ feedback (99.9%), reached out to me via email and eventually text. They had 2 cards that I was interested in to upgrade my All-American set and we negotiated a bit and came to an agreement on a price. I asked for a PPG&S invoice so that I could pay.. and then they didn't reply (this was Saturday) and then today, they list the cards on eBay.

How do you all feel about this? I believe after fees and such they would've netted about the same amount, or a little less, relative to comps.

Thanks guys.

If the price is the same, just buy it off ebay. Little or no advantage to you buying directly.

Some sellers prefer ebay for seller (and buyer) protections, generate mailing labels, feedback, etc.

People don't realize the full value of buyer/seller protection but it's there.

Agree with the comments above. Who knows what the other person is thinking if they don't communicate. Buy them on eBay and enjoy them!
