Good starting point for autographed jerseys?
 

My son is starting to want to get into some autographed jerseys. I know less then nothing about them. Looking for best sites and COAs to look for. Looking for non game worn mostly. Any info on places to look or stay away from would be appreciated. Thanks. On another note how is Prestine auctions for them? Seems a little shady at first look but I've been wrong before.

A couple notes:

*PSA/DNA, UDA and JSA are good COAs to look for.

*Get swingman or authentic jerseys, not the knockoffs or "custom" stuff. Those are cheaper, but generally look like crap.

*Check the ink used to sign them, some fade or bleed over time depending on where the jersey was signed.

I think if you are ordering anything with a certificate of authenticity from a trusted source (psa, Beckett, jsa, etc) then you’re probably fine. I personally like Beckett and JSA because they tend to mention in their COAs when a representative was present to witness the signing, which at least adds some level of confidence to its authenticity for me.

As for Pristine, I think it is one of the less trusted sites for ordering authenticated stuff, mostly because their auctions seem to be shilled and relisted constantly. The jerseys they have signed and auctions are often those cheap knock off ones posted above.

Do you live in an area with card shows and auto guests? I believe the magic of an autograph is seeing it happen in person. #@#@#@#@ a coa even from a reputable authenticator. Let you and your boys coa be the thrill if the hunt and the memory of it all ✨
