Got my 3 box order in from panini for 3 Black NBA boxes
Was hoping for a Wemby Instead got 3 empty boxes and some cellophane Thanks FedEx for stealing my cards I’ve seen these horror stories before. Guess I was due. Contacted FedEx They told me to contact Panini Great customer service Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Sorry that sucks. But even if they weren’t stolen, those cards were gonna be damaged from just bouncing around in that cavernous box with no padding. Wtf kind of pack job is that for (I assume) hundreds of dollars worth of cards?
|
There was a bubble wrap that was supposed to be around the boxes, but the thief just left it on the top of the boxes for me.

I GUARANTEE you the thief is fat
|
Fedex did the same to me last year. I had 5 boxes that were busted open and resealed.
Funny thing is, is Fedex tracking kept showing delayed. Like it would be out for delivery, not come that day and then say delayed. Happened for like 4 days. |
Pretty normal if you're in SoCal and shocked that the thieves haven't been caught yet almost 3 years later
|
This should be a boon to LCS.
|
Terrible. I hope Panini will be able to resolve this for you.

**WARNING: FAIRLY LONG READ**
Our most recent, "regular FedEx driver"....started this route around the February/March timeframe of this year. Within the last 5 months, I've had FedEx packages (in order): PURPOSEFULLY STOMPED ON MALICIOUSLY DELAYED STOLEN Presumably,...all instances were perpetrated by the same, end-of-point, FedEx employee (ie; the driver in question). In Situation #1, a clear....size 12 outline of a boot was stomped into one of the 5 big boxes that were delivered to me that day (cases of NBA Optic Megas). Here's a novel concept; if you don't like your job and/or having to move thousands of pounds of parcels every day,...GET A DIFFERENT JOB!?! Nobody is forcing you to deliver 100's of packages, a day...!?! What this @#$!+&* did, is completely unacceptable & unconscionable! I escalated the matter, pretty high up the Chain of Command, going back & forth with several higher-ranking,C.S. individuals @ FedEx, via email & phone conversations. Ultimately,...being "the 'ole softy" that I am, I didn't follow through with any formal filings in the matter, which may have otherwise resulted in the @#$!+&* receiving demerits, a suspension, or (depending how you look at it) "worse". I assure you; HE...wasn't a[ny] factor in my choosing not to move forward with any potential punishment(s)! It was HIS WIFE/KIDS (presuming he has)! Additionally, amazingly enough...there was no damage to ANY of the cards or packs,...because of the way they were situated/laying...within the 4 crushed boxes! Still; his actions are unacceptable & unprofessional, and cannot go, unacknowledged!! Water under the bridge. Let me preface Situation #2 by acknowledging that we receive FedEx packages...."on a frequent basis". Generally,...several times a week. Unless the driver's IQ is ~ an amoeba, he's relatively-familiar with my name,....andKNOWS where I reside! In June, my cousin sent me some cards via FedEx, from his collecting-days. All of the tracking, at all of the hubs along the way, showed the package as proceeding normally. Gets to the "OUT FOR DELIVERY" part, and the day comes & goes. I remembered it was a Friday, so I simply chalked it up as; driver got caught up/busy....it's the end of the week,...I'll get it on Monday. Get's toward the end of the day on Monday, so I decide to check the status. It was RTS'ed. Long story short: found out that my cousin had my address....ONE DIGIT, OFF (eg. 12, instead of 11). This @#$!+&* wants to play games with me...after I (effectively) SAVED HIS A$$...?!!? O.K.,..."technically speaking", he did nothing wrong in this instance! But SURELY, he could've done....something, "right"!?! NOW,...I'M PISSED! Situation #3 occured in September. Same cousin gets me a 10 pack of Shohei Topps Now cards. With respect to my cousin, I love him to death, but he's extremely "scatter brained"! Humbly, this is due in large-part to his crazy-hectic, professional/personal life. Nevertheless, not too dissimilar from most others, the "little things" (such as the mailing address of his cousin) can oftentimes be oversighted. This time, he mistakenly recollected the address as being...."the other side" of my correct address (ie; 10, instead of 11!!) As bad as this was/is "on the surface", long-term, it might just have been a sort of..."blessing, in disguise"!! I'm not a thief or deceitful, so my mind isn't geared toward figuring out or deciphering potential...."loopholes". Specifically, in this instance, within the various shipping systems, etc. I don't know how/why this @#$!+&* thought he was going to get away with THEFT...?!?! Maybe, in his actually being cognizant of what type of packages a [regular] recipient, receives,....and where they manifest from, he would make a decision as to whether or not he thought that he could/couldn't get away with...."clippin'" a package,....here & there,....and, take a chance that,....MAYBE, he might get away with it....?!?! Nevertheless, I go back to the FedEx tracking system to check on the shipping. Everything is situation normal, with expected delivery...the following Tuesday, between 11:30am-2:30pm. Tuesday night comes & goes, and I recall; I was supposed receive that ToppsNOW package, today. Check the foyer; nothing! Ask the wife/kids; nothing! Check the porch; nothing! Here's where the multitude of red flags & sirens,...IMMEDIATELY become activated! I go back and check the FedEx tracking; it shows: DELIVERED @ 12:10pm. (Worth noting: Literally EVERY, PACKAGE....big or small...that this guy had delivered on our porch to this point, had a "proof of delivery" photo associated with it. THIS ONE, DID NOT!!) I double-check the address it was delivered to: it shows 10 instead of 11! Well,...now here, is where the @#$!+&* FedEx driver (presumably) puts the proverbial...."nail in his coffin"! THERE IS NO HOME OR RESIDENCE, ETC.,....at #10!! It's an EMPTY PARCEL OF LAND,...with nary a receptacle for mail or packages to be delivered to!? Long story made longer; I contacted FedEx. My cousin contacted FedEx & Topps. We were both told by FedEx, that....yeah; something DEFINITELY looks "fishy" with this situation! The @#$!+&* FedEx driver in question...has not been seen by myself/my wife/the kids....in over a month! If my specific FedEx experiences over the past 7-8 months are indicative of this being his...."normal modus operandi", I have a sneaking-hunch that (at a minimum) he's no longer an employee with FedEx, AND,...quite conceivably,....he might be looking at some serious criminal charges being lodged against him, if any investigation shows that he WAS, in fact...."up to no good"! |

Sorry about that OP. It does make sense for FedEx to have Panini reach out, they are the ones that need to put in the claim. You need to contact Panini and have them refund you, they can deal with FedEx on their own. Where did this happen btw?

This. You bought it from Panini then you should receive a refund from Panini if you haven’t received the item or the item arrived damaged. Panini should be the one deal with the carriers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

So Cal I’ve reached out to Panini Can’t get through to a human Left a voicemail, email and filed an online claim No response Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
My redemption replacement Prizm basketball pack was stolen by fedex. Since I choose to pick up my fedex delivery from a store, it should be always in fedex possession from pickup to delivery to the store. The envelope was slit opened at the top and taped back shut. The pack was missing. Same thing. Fedex said contact Panini. Of course, Panini CS is cricket.

Why does Panini not have an AI-aided protocol for customer service and escalation at least. You can literally purchase this basic level of response off the rack.

Its pretty difficult situation, as people could be receiving the boxes, opening them up (getting nothing) and then making this kind of pictures saying that's how it was.. how to prove it?
I got this year's prizm from Target, one of the boxes was totally damaged.. Target changed their terms of service for sports cards this year, stating that no matter the case no refunds etc will not be accepted.. I guess some people are overspending and then thinking ways to get some back (after the disappointing break) and that has forced some to take "no refund policy" - which messes up things for honest people who have actual cases. |
My Curry/Messi Topps Now order arrives today... excited to play the lottery on whether my cards were stolen before playing the lottery to see if I hit a parallel.

If you told this story on fedex reddit, the would call you a liar and tell you no theft ever happens under the company they work for lol...

I can’t go in Reddit anymore. The community and mods are unhinged. It’s like all pitchforks and torches, and no common sense. |
Just finally contested the charge with my credit card company
Explained what happened That the merchant is non responsive They said they’d handle it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This was the only logical conclusion. While it may be protocol I don't know why people suggest contacting Panini when it's clearly a case of stolen mail which is a crime. Given the amount of I assume stolen packages Panini employees don't have all day to and surely won't spend all day filing claims with Fedex. If Fedex isn't helping might as well just file the chargeback. EDIT: While I believe OP anyone could take that photo claim they got empty boxes and get cards/boxes for free. Especially if it was marked as delivered, unless Panini has a way to identify what was in each box you couldn't even differentiate if a hit came from a box they scammed or one of the new ones sent out. I definitely see Panini's side here where they don't just automatically issue refunds or send more boxes over issues like this. A box that never gets delivered, or delivered to a wrong address that's a different story. |
