Sucks that it's stickers
|
Agreed with above, stickers on a high end product....meh. the cards themselves will look excellent though at least
|
Looks great, I won't be able to afford it though since they put Downtowns in.

I'm probably in the minority, but this doesn't do it for me. It'll likely cost as much as Immac or Impeccable on a per-card basis and is just not as nice as those, plus stickers, because of course. That said, I do like the highlighted Tiffany card design, which has an old school Panini Aficionado vibe.
I'm also not a fan of the Downtowns that use a more photo-realistic character, as opposed to the traditional fully illustrated ones. They've always looked cheap and photoshopped to me. I'm sure there will be some lovely cards coming out of this. But Photogenic is the more intriguing option from the upcoming releases. We'll see on pricing. |
There better be an Undertaker Death Valley downtown and a Kane Parts Unknown
|
Hopefully the base cards look as good as the basketball ones.
|
I know I'm probably in the minority here but one thing I like about sets like this is they don't have base cards. I never know what to do with my worthless base cards. Sometimes I give them away, others stored unsorted in boxes forever, as someone that doesn't make sets or collect base cards they mean nothing to me. So, a box with just three cards does appeal to me but as always it comes down to price.
|
Looks like pre-order price on these is at $250 right now. I *may* buy a box at that but like with Photogenic I was hoping for under $200. But maybe that was an unrealistic ask on two straight releases.
But the release date at online retailers is showing as mid-November so not in any rush to pre-order. |
I was wrong about Photogenic hitting the floor so don't take my advice but I'd possibly pre-order one just incase. Sometimes things make no sense such as WNBA pre-orders going UP despite Caitlyn Clark the reason for buying being eliminated from the playoffs last night. If Photogenic is up to $200 by then for whatever reason, $250 will seem pretty cheap for an extra auto, more premium brand and chance at Downtowns. Stickers suck and hurt the bottom line (WHAT) but don't underestimate the Panini "One" (original) brand, there is a reason it's insanely expensive for one card. I think I'd honestly rather risk it on three cards for $250 then spend $220-230 on Prizm right now. Select is still my product for WWE but these will be the premier cards for sticker WWE and some of the patch autos etc will still be pretty big.
The thing I hate about pre-ordering is (can't cancel where I am and not doing chargeback lol) is you never know what Panini will put in FOTL. Photogenic for $150 Vs $275 FOTL I don't feel FOTL buyers exactly won that war for an auto /13 less, but if this does a dutch and gets to $300 for FOTL or just starts at $300, and has one auto /10 or less or something or guaranteed patch auto I'd probably rather pay the extra $50 for FOTL and jus pass on regular. |
Hopefully the Downtowns for WWE tank like they have for every other sport after 2022 so we can pick them up
|
My prediction is this is going to be the ultimate feel bad WWE product of the Panini era. Your average box is going to be a diet-version of the worst Immaculate box @ same price per card, only with a poorer design, stickers instead of on-card, and less desire on the aftermarket. As mentioned above, Downtowns have lost quite a bit of luster and the Bianca shown is butt ugly.
I'm personally taking a pass on both products (been spending a fortune and a half in the TCG space lately) but between this and Photogenic, the latter would have easily been my play. It feels fresher and you aren't obviously buying a poor man's version of a superior product at compatible pricing. In all transparency I am also just not a fan of the Panini One brand across any of the sports, which I've always though is the definitive degenerate product, i.e. "stop trying to act like you are engaging with a hobby and admit you are just recklessly gambling." |
Kaboom haven't dropped in price a ton, I doubt Downtowns do at least for awhile. NBA's seem to hold value as they are only found in hobby boxes, I'd imagine NFL have dropped off most since they can be pulled out of hangers, blasters, megas etc. There won't be retail for this obviously so it's more like NBA.

They better have a 3 Count with Tank Abbot quad auto.
|
This better not be more the football.
|
The "Timeless Moments" Auto cards are huge in Basketball..I expect if they can capture some good ones (Hogan slams Andre in Wrestlemania 3, Undertaker vs Mankind Hell in a Cell, etc.), that those would be huge...

Checklist out. Lends evidence to this being a sticker dump since Ken Shamrock is getting his first Panini WWE autos that I know of, despite being in UFC sets because they lost the license and prob have leftover stickers lol I'm unimpressed personally by the checklist, Downtown list seems too bloated at 20, should be 10-15 max. My luck I'd get garbage autos because I hit a Downtown...of the Miz lol |
Thanks for posting it.
I'm happy that they gave Drew five cards of which four are autos and Naomi got three with two being autos. Cody, Lita, and Trish also cleaned up but I rarely buy their stuff since they are more pricey. All my other main people had to settle for 1 card each with most having just a base card (Charlie Dempsey, Myles Borne, Kit Wilson, Elton Prince, and Riley Osborne). But I'm happy they at least got a base card since I could have seen them getting snubbed entirely. Wade Barrett and Eve Torres got the reverse of an auto but no base card. I'd prefer that if I had to pick but I'm glad that two of my other main people got a base and one auto (Austin Theory and Alundra Blayze). I'm kinda surprised they are releasing this set so close to Select but I guess they have to get it out fast. Is it the second to last release? Flawless being the set after and last one from Panini? |
Meh. “We don’t need the Rock in our Downtown set when we have the Miz and Asuka! Also, let’s have the HHH one be the worst gimmick of his career!”
|
It also appears that the timeless moments autos are stickers? What a waste of a product.

Such a bummer Rock would've been so cool could've had the Smackdown Hotel in the background. Real shame Brock's blacklisted because this set was made for a Suplex City downtown. |
Checklist and print run way way too big
|
Looks like FOTL dutch auction has been listed on Panini's website.
Gonna be on Thursday Nov 14 at 12 pm EST/9am PST. Starts at $400 and floor will be $200 FOTL exclusive is 2 FOTL-Exclusive Autographs #'d/10 or less and 1 FOTL-Exclusive Parallel #'d/4 or less or 1 Downtown Card |
This set just screams "2025 Black Friday" sale. Its going to be lost in the shuffle so close to Select and just comes across as a 'poor man's' Impeccable or Immaculate. I like the 'less cards per box' gimmick but not sure I can justify it with the checklist.
