.....gets a 4 year, 240 million deal. The news just broke.

Prescott's deal includes $231 million guaranteed and an $80 million signing bonus, per Rapoport and Pelissero.

Doesn't deserve.. market is what the market is tho. Cowboys will be like but why aren't we good enough to win a SB, and just discount that they could have x QB and 2 stars instead of Prescott

Because the same person that blamed him and didn't get him adequate help, is the same person who just paid him.

4 more years! 4 more years! ... without a Super Bowl
|
There's a lot of guys who can pad stats but can't elevate their team to a championship that are getting paid.
Unfortunately for the cowboys, there's no Brock Purdy on the depth chart as an alternative. |

So Purdy in off-season gets 4 years $250 million fullly guaranteed with $100 million SB? |
wheres that guy that said trey lance was going to overtake Dak.
|
I’m a Cowboys fan and I hate this deal. Don’t get me wrong I want Dak to win us a Super Bowl but he’s an average to above average quarterback. They should have let him test free agency after the season. I doubt other teams would have offered him that much.

Look what old broken Cousins got. Dak would have easily gotten the deal the Cowboys gave him or better. Enough teams would love to have Prescott over their current situation. |

Teams are desperate for QB's Dak would have found it in a second on the FA market. |

Dak is certainly no Mahomes or Elway, but he's a good quarterback. Had he become a free agent, at least 5 teams would call. Strange how Jerry gets no flack for being a GM that still has a job with the same team after 29 years without a SB.

Dak is an average to above average quarterback. He plays great against bad teams but struggles with good teams. He’s been in the league since 2016. There’s plenty of tape on him. He’s not going to suddenly make a leap to elite status.

We can all learn a lesson here.
As a Niner fan, I like Purdy more than most but if I'm John Lynch I'm not offering anything close to top market. If he walks, he walks. But his career will be over when he gets killed as a Panther or some other terrible team. |
