Ja'marr Chase - Hold In?

Seems silly it's gone this long. What's the purpose if they don't budge? Just avoid practice? I'd think his teammates hate that he's getting a pass

He had a pretty good game last night.

Whodatiz 11-08-2024 12:58 PM

It was ok.

RIP to any fantasy owners going up against Chase this week.

Guy in my league has Chase, Burrow, and Chase Brown.

He's at 101.52 points. The guys he's playing is down to a 3% chance and hasn't had a player play yet.

I played against Chase and Lamar last night. I had Gisecki and Chase Brown, so only down 62 instead of 88.

I am playing against only Chase from last night. I guess it could be worse!

Siberian13 11-08-2024 05:24 PM

Had him in one league. Went against him in another.

How much did the Bengals cost themselves by not signing him before the season?

He's going the get the biggest WR contract in NFL history and by a good amount.

If Jefferson is at $35 million he’ll probably want $37-$40mill average. So probably not too much more than he would’ve gotten but it will definitely be more.

I wouldn’t be shocked if they traded him either. Tying up that much money between a QB and a WR is risky business. They will have the space to do it but we’ll see.

I just don't think they can trade him... for the fanbase.

Bengals have never won a Super Bowl. Splitting up the closest thing the franchise has ever seen to Montana/Rice would just be such a bad PR move that I don't think they could make it.

They'll have to pay up for Chase, and if 2-3 years from now it still doesn't work, then you trade.

I get that. They’ll have to kick some money down the road to fill the rest of the roster.

It’s just crazy considering you’re looking at a 4-6 team who will eventually have 30% of their cap tied up between 2 players.

Not to mention it will be harder to trade him after a mega deal because his cap hit will be bigger at the end of the deal.

The thing is the highest paid WR rarely makes the Superbowl The Bengals should let him walk and get players they need to make the team better Joe Burrow can make do with mid receivers
