Gulf of Mexico.

I've looked at the Atlantic (seeing both a sunrise and sunset over it) and the Pacific up close, but didn't have opportunity for a splunk in them.

Atlantic
Pacific
Indian
Amazon River
The 3 Rivers
Rio Toachi
Sarapiqui River

Probably missing a couple more.

Actually a bunch because of having moved a lot because my dad was in the Air Force then touring in a punk band in my 20's.
Atlantic & Pacific Oceans, Gulf of Mexico, all 5 of the Great Lakes(Michigan, Huron, Ontario, Superior and Eerie), The North Sea and many many lochs in Scotland including Ness while looking for rocks and old broken crockery bits.
Less interesting are Lake Tahoe, the Mississippi River, Chicago River and Milwaukee River(in high school I worked with two old Italian guys who once were 'connected' and said they dumped many uncracked safes in there when the police were closing in).

Rocks?

coltsnsox07 07-01-2024 09:56 PM

Yeah, there are a few interesting/historical Scotland specific rocks like Cairngorm smoky quartz and greenish-yellow marble found in the highlands.
I also came home with some pieces of 16th century maiolica tile from Fotheringhay Castle where Mary Queen of Scots was held and executed.

I am irrationally annoyed that this wasn't listed in the HOMES acronym.

As punishment, tell me what this mnemonic phrase helps someone remember:

My Very Eccentric Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas.

It's nine pizzas.

That's peak eccentricity.

An educated mother would have offered a side salad.

Maybe there were nine kids and they were personal pizzas :)!

Ratio of effort to time spent prepping/cooking is out of whack unless you got one of those rich mothers with a big stone pizza oven. Then I can't relate.

They were just served. It doesn't say they weren't purchased.

Several large pizzas are more cost efficient than 9 personal pizzas. An educated mother would know that. An eccentric mother would allow children to order 9 different pizza variations.

Same.

I wish I had taken a dip in Lake Michigan while I was in Chicago during the summer of 2009.
