Gunnar Henderson
 

It’s time to start talking about this guy. There are a few stale threads with Gunnar’s name in them, but one has “the goat” in the title and another ends with a question mark. So, I figured we should start fresh with the official Gunnar Henderson thread to talk about, and share cards of, Baltimore’s best young player. (That’s right, all you Adley and Jackson Holliday fans, I said it.)

I’m personally not a huge a collector, but I’ve been dabbling in Gunnar rookies. Here are some of my personal highlights:

Right, but I addressed that in my intro. The question mark at the end of his name doesn’t seem appropriate for an official thread.

Yeah, I’m cool with a new start/clean slate. Nice stash. I own zero Gunnars, but wish I had a few. Maybe I’ll add one nice card someday.

OP - any chance you could change the title to something along the lines of "The Official Gunnar Henderson Thread"? Not sure if Blowout allows title edits after a certain amount of time.

Gunnar is my favorite current player, and he's actually the reason I got back into collecting in early 2021. I don't have any monsters of his, but I do have a decent amount of PSA 10 Bowman 1st and RC stuff. Will try to share some of those in this thread at some point.

I will support this thread, but only because I view him and Adley like Acuna and Albies. Unfortunately, I don't think I have much to offer as far as Gunner cards. I do have some decent Adley, Acuna, and Albies cards though.

He is a monster (in a good way). Seems to be forcing himself into the top 2 convo (alongside Bobby Witt) for best SS in baseball. I still count Mookie as a RF

I debated whether to name it the official thread, but most threads are just the player’s name, so I went with that. And it’s too late to change.

I don’t do much modern baseball anymore but have a few Gunnar Topps rookies. Black, Independence Day and a Meijer purple.

He’s going to be an MVP candidate this year and going forward IMO

Have you seen Bobby Witt Jr’s thread title?

His legitimacy is constantly being questioned. Dude deserves better- unless of course he is proven to be an illegitimate child.

You know, I was debating starting my O's PC thread for my Gunnar's, Adley's, Grayson's, and the rest of the baby birds, but I like this thread instead.

Yes, indeed. I’d say it’s a good omen that on the day this thread started, Gunnar got on base five times, hit a homer and a double, and stole a base. All in a day’s work.
