What will happen to the value of Ohtani's cards when he gets a lifetime ban?
Discuss.

moon.

I'd assume he'd be welcomed back in Japan, no?
|
I am not a rabid Ohtani collector. If a collect a baseball player and he was booted from MLB at this point in his career I would pay 10% of current values.
|
I would hope they drop in price so I can get some of him in an Angels uniform at a 95% discount
|
NBA star
|
Johnny?
|
He's going to learn to play hockey and be the next Bedard (or Tom Glavine).
|
Moon, have you seen the short porch on Alcatraz?
|
The Dodgers are renaming Ohtani’s interpreter as Oliver North because he is taking one for the team. This entire process of what went down will be on TV in a few years on a investigation show.

Don’t care about ‘value’ which is constantly manipulated and unstable.
Caring about ‘interest’ is building a foundation towards stable value. |
Sold 'em all last year, don't care.

This scandal certainly has some people walking on egg shells.Personally I would start to sell even if I took a hit.The scandal is not going and it’s certainly going get interesting.

That Pete Rose/Ohtani Dual Patch Auto is gonna be pure fire next year tho!

Has worked out well for Joe Jackson

Is this a joke? He's not getting a lifetime ban. Suspension is far more likely. I do wonder if this entire situation will effect his card prices in the interim, though. In that case, I'm gonna be buying a lot of stuff.

No suspension, he will be okay |

I keep scratching my head wondering where people are getting all of their opinions from. Its literally all pulled from thin air. There is nothing implicating Ohtani in anything. Who knows what the future holds, but there is nothing right now. And we have blowout threads on about a lifetime ban? Drama boys like to create their own drama I guess. |

As odd / unbelievable as this seems, if the Dodgers were to have given him stock in the Dodgers, would he be held to a different standard? The Hall of Fame excuses integrity and sportsmanship if you are a owner / executive. Since the commissioner “P. Ueberoth” was the lead activist for colluding, the Dodgers should just give Ohtani stock and he would have a different classification for gambling. He wouldn’t just be a player and the Dodgers could try to slither this away ?

It's really sad how many people are rooting for this to end up in the worst possible outcome
