2023 WWE Panini Impeccable
Haven't seen any mention of this around these parts, but Al Snow recently posted what appears to be signed cards for an upcoming WWE Impeccable set:
https://twitter.com/TheRealAlSnow/status/1738642697705976156/photo/1 Word on the street is that Panini may have somehow gotten the green light to proceed with at least the remainder of their 2023 WWE slate. Based on the above, that seems to be likely. |
I'm intrigued as I loved the 2022 set but I need more information, particularly when it comes to which wrestlers are redemptions and the likelihood they won't be sent. Knowing the situation they are in, Panini really should make this a redemption-less product even if it hurts the checklist, if they don't sign in time then don't put it in.

Possible but those also could of been sent a long time ago given WWE releases weren't usually that behind and it should of been out in what Oct? Meaning cards were obvs sent to wrestler long before that to be signed. Al Snow also isn't with the company which could mean 1. He just posted that innocently when he got around to signing them not knowing the current issues between Panini/WWE (doubt they informed all current/past workers, no union in wrestling) 2. Similar to 1 but Snow is on a legends contract so if he is unaware of issues it's likely he's gonna sign the cards as he wouldn't want to risk that as opposed to someone like HHH who has nothing to worry about signing even if Panini/WWE aren't at odds lol legends contracts do give guys a chance to make some extra bank so most take them serious.

Agreed, and given Elite hasn't been released yet I can't imagine that would lead to a belief anything else is coming. |
The WWE Instagram just last night posted a reel of Santos Escobar and the rest of the LWO crew signing brand new Impeccable cards before Smackdown.
I’d say you’d really have to stretch things at this point to ignore the evidence and assume we’re not getting a new Impeccable set in ‘24 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
They look nice.
That inscription is very cool too. More people should add chase cards like that. I know I would if I were signing cards like this. |
Saw Tatanka is in the set too.

They won their court case and are for sure preparing a full slate. This was common knowledge right? |

Pre-order pricing up on BO:
1k/box 3k/case (3 boxes) OUCH  |
Pre-order pricing up on BO:
1k/box 3k/case (3 boxes) OUCH
What in the world.... So you basically have to hit Hogan/Stone Cold AND Undertaker or a popular very low number Auto to break even on that? I'll be enjoying picking singles up for pennies on the dollar. |
Yeah, even in the best-case scenario of low product print run, generous distribution of desired legend and modern autos, and all autos being live and on-card, I'm still not seeing how you get to $1,000 a box. And unfortunately, Panini has not earned the good will to assume they will be delivering a best-case scenario version of this product.
I say this as someone who thought the '22 Impeccable release was the best WWE product of the Panini era. But average boxes were still not coming close to delivering the $600 pre-order price. Even if they throw in a curveball and have, say, live Jade autos, it's still a tough tough price. |
Yeah those prices are outrageous. I'll get my people's stuff for $10-30 each. Maybe more if I want to spend on a rarer version but that price range is typically the price of things I buy.

$1000 a box absolutely price gauge joke blowout is a joke
|
You can buy a austin, taker, cena, and hogan from last years for that price just about
|
Suddenly that Elite price doesn't seem so bad, unreal pre-order prices. Unless Logan Paul, Bad Bunny, and/or The Rock are in the set there's just no way to justify that.

"Psst, hey bud, wanna buy a box for $1,000 and hit an Escobar /75, it'll make you feel good"
BO continues its decent into common street pusher. |

If I recall correctly, 2022 Impeccable started at $600 pre-order and bumped up to $700, but was easily attainable in the ~$500 range after release.
Maybe we'll get lucky and 2023 will dip to ~$750 at some point, which is the top end of where I thought it might open. I kept some 2022 sealed and I'd love to grab a box of '23 to go alongside, but sheesh almighty. |
Terrible prices :(

These prices are nuts but don't make Elite any better to me, you would still need 2.5 boxes of Elite to get the same number of autos, and any comparable cards (Hogan, Austin, Roman, Taker etc) will probably be around double in value for Impeccable. I really don't think the "on-card" aspect is going to move the needle as much as people believe, I believe your'e gonna need a good dual or someone who hasn't had a ton of autos due to redemptions (Cody/HHH) to do good. I could easily be wrong but I don't think things like Spellbound will be huge for wrestling, where as Impeccable has the diff gold ounces etc and even the base of the right guy can do ok. That being said I agree on the second part although I'd replace Logan and Bad Bunny with Punk and Jade, maybe Pat Mcafee. I was thinking last night how insane a Roman/Rock dual or new Bloodline card with Rock would be, likely a record breaker if on-card autos. Rock aside this really makes Leaf Metal Legends look the worst, what is it $450-500 now for one auto? Sticker at that, I think it has some cool potential but I'd still buy Impeccable over that anyday. |
