Shuttered Video Game Store kept the old inventory in storage until now

I guess the brother was curious about values of basketball cards like Vince Carter and Nowitzki and decided to check the values of some of the video games his brother had in storage for over 20 years. They took it to a local store to confirm and eventually sent it to WATA.

That’s ultimately the story with 99+%of the sealed games on the market - unsold inventory. The other less than 1% is estate sales of adults who bought habitually intending to play but never did and or the odd game that was a duplicate Xmas gift (grandma bought me a game I already had so it went on a shelf unopened). The infinitesimally small amount that came from adult buyers are nice because those adults were often buying at release and therefore getting early or the earliest versions. The store inventory stuff is unsold inventory so usually late release versions.
