Black Friday Deals or Sets Worth Purchasing at a Discount
 

Anyone seeing any good deals or steals on hockey products?

I just picked up a couple 20 box cases of 2022/23 Series 2 Retail Tins off BO. Priced at $149.95, basically $7.50 per tin. Felt like that was a deal I couldn't pass it up.

The retail tin cases are 12 per case I think. They had 21/22 retail tin cases for 99 a few weeks back and i think they currently have the retail case for $300 which seems like a steal of a deal.

I thought they were 12 as well, but they have them listed as 20 per case. So if they have a misprint I'll deal with it when I get them haha

I bought a blaster of Skybox Metal and SP Retail 22-23 from Walmart. 30Cad instead of 50.

The best hockey would definitely be 21-22 UD 2 because of the rookie crop AND quality control. 22/23 has some top rookies, but the quality control is atrocious.

No one ever questions WHY these are so cheap lol these are always heavily discounted BF or not, I prefer deals where it won't likely be that price regardless in a few months lol

1) Crown Royale 2014: $100 USD (Not amazing but can go for as high as $200 on Ebay so fair deal)

2) 2023-24 Series 1 Black Friday Mega Boxes: $32.98 CAD (Canada only but turns out under $25 USD, good deal as most cards an SKU other than hobby since retail boxes are gone, also wont be discounted for at least six months when S2 is coming and even then last years boxes are more than that ON discount....prob cheapest option if you want to chase a Bedard SP before Young Guns)

on their pod these guys went through some of their list. A lot of their hobby stuff from previous years will be $40-$60 and series 1 from this year I think is $100 through the end of the year. You have to dm them I think.

I remember buying Crown Royale 13-14 for under 100Cad when Panini lost its licence.

I'll try to catch some megas at this price. Usually we have to be quick, they get sold very fast.

I used to get a case of football cards every year from 2012-2019. Then the Mahomes effect happened followed by the Pandemic and I was priced out of the Market (bought a 12 box case of 2013 Contenders for $370 in 2017...in 2020 they were $275 per box for no reason.).

This year I am going hockey and excited to be able to afford a case again. $550 is the max. I'll definetly be lurking the Black Friday deals. Trying to get a hobby case of anything that has Kraken so basically 21/22 series 2 to current.

1st waves of deals starting. 21/22 OPC Hobby Boxes for $29.99 is the only really good deal so far. 21/22 Series1 or 2 Factory sets $12.95

I went with 2 UD1 Black Friday megas. The product is lacking several hobby hits, so in my opinion, if I was going to buy more of the product, hobby would have been the way to go. But, at this price, I'll have a nice overview of the product at a fair price.

2021-22 Series 2 Retail boxes for $25 on DACardWorld is pretty good. Deep Young Guns group, including the Caufield Canvas YG.

Bought one last night too. Pretty good ripping value even if unlucky with YGs. I also got a Metal hobby for $60 because it’s the only price point I coulld justify buying hobby at with my risk appetite

6 YG as usual. You also have Seider, Byfield, and McTavish, along with about a dozen other guys with upside.

Ah, that's not too bad at all then...120 YG for $300. How many canvas YG on average?

Jumped back up to $400 while it was in cart lol.

Been a very disappointing BF so far. No actual morning door busters or deals every hour like in the past. The BIG 3 have stuff "On sale" for Black Friday but they are still more expensive than the every day prices on CCC. Just a bunch of retail on sale. I miss the days of Atlanta SPorts cards BF sales.

What's everyone's thoughts on OPC hobby boxes (21-22 or 22-23) for $30? I ordered a couple because they're fun to rip with the kiddos, but do they typically end up much lower than that at any point? I'm tempted to grab more...

I haven't seen them lower. Very low ceiling obviously but a fun rip for that price. Great for kids or collectors on a budget.

I don't think they will go much lower. A very fun break, and there's usually at least one better hobby hit per box. There are several OPC collectors around, it's one of the products from which the cards are easier to trade away in my experience.

where can I get 22/23 for $30? Those are very fun with 3 serial #d cards per box with chances at Woodys, plates, patches, 1/1s, and lots of OPC collectors out there.

I bought some 21 MVP Hobby for $15 a box on the site which shall not be named.
