Hold or sell michael porter jr
 

Bought every cheap prizm rc i could afford back in 2018.. The hobby exploded and I didn't capitalize.

Should i sell and move on or Hold ...

The market has crashed on non-star, non-rare cards so if we’re talking low end / mid end rookies probably best to just sell now … I mean Nuggets won championship already so not sure what event you’d be waiting on. Haven’t checked his prices recently but a few months I got a Porter Prizm rookie PSA 9 for like $6 delivered.

A part of me thinks when a guys cards don’t move even after winning a championship - I think “where are the Nuggets fan at?” 😂. Mostly joking but I almost view it as a fan bases duty to raise a guys prices when they win …

There's no real upside on a player like MPJ. If you don't want to hold the cards for decades, might as well sell now. I bought a KCP gold Prizm RC auto for $140 last week - things CAN keep going down from here.

He has been in the league long enough to where he has established himself as a role player. He's unlikely to ever be more than that, will never be the best player on the Nuggets, and has an injury history on top of it. There is very little upside here. People have long since moved onto the next hot rookies.

As everyone has said - sell.

On his best day, he's the third best player on his team.

Sorry to the guy who bought my MPJ Courtside /25 for $2,100.

Yes for sure. And that KCP is 2nd year Prizm so much more sought after also.

Random but KCP has to be one of the most underrated guys, doesn't get talked about enough but there's only a handful of guys that have been a key rotation player on 2 different championship teams the past decade ... In fact, maybe he's the only one besides Lebron and Kawhi

He’s not getting any better. Sell if you can still get anything for them

A porter jr 2018 prizm gold psa 10 sold for $6,700 this offseason - so there are still some who believe in him

That price is hard to believe but yeah for super rare cards, just takes 1 or 2 buyers to bid something up.

His crazy early value was all tied to the CoUlD HaVe BeEn ThE #1 PiCk If NoT InJuReD iN CoLleGe narrative that was smeared throughout the blogosphere and BO megathreads in 2018. Reminiscent of the Emoni Bates youtube fecal matter this preseason.

People were duped into thinking MPJ was a legit 1a stuperstar in the making, when in reality he's a solid cog on a well-balanced, championship roster. He's never going to be a 1a. Heck, he'll never even be a Can Thomas.

Yeah and I think it also has to do with it being a prizm gold more than the actual player.

Sell him so you can go buy guys like Zion lol, atleast MPJ helped to win a championship. Most of the clowns on this site "invest" in garbage or players who haven't even played one full season in 3 years lmfao, talk about burning money go look at the amount of people that lost money buying into hype players. All about timing too I made a killing on almost every player during the peak, did I lose some holding some? Not at all I was in way before peak and everything I have is all free plus I made a ton of $$$$$$$ on top. Just buy up any player "cookie" there hypes since she has such a great track record lol, Zion, Bol bol, Poku, etc... she really picks some weiners lol :coffee:

I'm not sure Porter Jr really helped all the much in Denvers championship run. He was solid...but I'd put him as their 5th best player
