Im waiting for the MTG and Star Wars collab, I'd crap my pants over that one.

Gotta give Wizards some credit for keeping the Magic brand in the news. I loved the LOTR and Doctor Who sets and have a few Secret Lair sets. I'll be all over this Marvel one as well.

Brobocop are you getting any of the "Special Edition" LOTR? Supposedly has some really good art and I know you liked the first LOTR set. If I can get a good preorder price I am wanting to get a couple boxes.

Art is nice, I agree. If the price is decent I'll buy a Collector's Booster box.

Hmmmm...... I need something simple and similar to the gameplay of MTG, that gives me the vibes of the old Decipher CCG.

We are nearing a year since initial announcement was made… anyone hear anymore about this? I’d think the first wave stuff should be hitting soon.

The only official word is sometime in 2025.

Saw these and have passed over the last few sets to save up for this. I don't even play the game, I just love the look of the cards and a Marvel and MTG combo hits all the right notes for me.

Looks like the leaker might have stolen them from the printing factory.

They are listed on their Ebay with a LOT of Secret Lair without retail packaging.

Regardless my LCS today let me put a request in for a booster box, 3 collectors packs and a prerelease kit.

Its not on the release calendar but the owner is keeping a manual list.

He will input the orders once they become live.

He is awesome like that. Small LCS for the win.

People figure the leaked cards will probably be promos offered at NYCC and that is why they are made already.

Secret Lair's coming 11/4. Cannot wait.

Saw the clip, it's a pass for me for now. Hopefully, when the real set comes out, there will be more diverse creatures in it.

The first non Lair set has been revealed to be centered around Spider-Man.

So certainly potential for some amazing cards.

There goes my hope of a Marvel set with chase numbered Infinity Gems cards. I really hope to see a set that's not centered on a hero or a team, like the early 90s Marvel Universe cards sets.

Zero chance this is their first and last set. You better believe they will make an Avengers centered product.

Secret Lair orders begin 11/4.
Those drops will be followed by a major Magic/Marvel crossover set in 2025.


The Magic/Marvel Crossover set is going to be released TBD 2025. I "believe" it will be just like Lord of the Rings, with multiple SKUs and booster types and not just Commander Decks and Collectors' Boxes like they did with Dr. Who and Fallout.

Also, Magic/Final Fantasy Crossover is also happening in 2025, same situation as Marvel believe. You can never be 100% sure though, one might get the Assassin's Creed treatment. The AC SKUs lacked Commander Decks but had multiple pack SKUs - one was a "Beyond" Booster that was a ripoff at $7 for 7 cards, and the Collector Booster SKU where you got 10 cards instead of the usual 15 in a Collector Booster for the same price of approximately $25.

I haven't purchased magic cards since 2018, what are the chances that the normal marvel set boxes will be printed to demand for 1-2 years, like they used to do? How long was the Lotr boxes remained in print?

Crickets here, is there a different forum that's very active in MTG discussions?
