When was the last time You purchased a Hobby Box of Baseball

Hello all.

After responding to the thread about the Collectible Card Petition - Manufacturing & Distribution. I need to ask.

When was the Last time you purchased a Baseball Hobby Box for that Year.
So 2 Points.
1) NOT Blasters
2) NOT Buying a 2004 Box of cards -- Must be the Same year cards as the purchase.

And this is for BASEBALL ONLY wax Boxes

"Hobby", maybe 2019-ish?

Definitely bought blaster stuff though.

txrngr34 09-27-2023 06:10 PM

I bought multiple boxes of both 2022 TSC and TSCC off Topps' site because I really love the design.

I normally buy Bowman stuff but haven't bought any Bowman hobby since early 2021.

2018.

atk825 09-27-2023 06:17 PM

I bought a box of Stadium Club Chrome. Haven't been close to tempted on anything 2023. Both a realization that I can get a really cool PC card for the price of a box and that this stuff is being printed to the moon and good stuff is harder to hit and goes for less money on secondary.

hobby boxes of pro debut and heritage minors every year since I got back into collecting

MiamiMarlinsFan 09-27-2023 06:29 PM

1 box over the last 18 months or so.

zakcollects 09-27-2023 06:33 PM

I've bought one hobby box ever - a discounted 2022 Heritage Minor League for $50.

fulltritty 09-27-2023 06:39 PM

Purchased 3 boxes at the National.

Bought a box of Pristine sometime in August and a jumbo of TC the week it came out. Think those are the only two boxes of 2023 product so far. A&G Chrome is probably the only set that's going to lure me out of it.

evileddie 09-27-2023 07:28 PM

Haven't done a ton of 2023, did 2 hobby cases of Heritage. Also did 2 hobby cases of Topps Chrome Platinum, but it is technically a 2022 product. I've done a few other cases recently, but it was all 2022 stuff.

My last box of Hobby was last year.

With these prices, garbage quality, and print runs...perhaps never again

mfw13 09-27-2023 07:44 PM

Bought two hobby boxes of 2023 flagship Series 1, that's it so far for this year.

Will buy some boxes of Archives, but not sure yet in which form....

pewe 09-27-2023 07:52 PM

2023 flagship series 1 and 2… will buy a box of update when released… fun to open and build sets with my son.

I bought 2 boxes of A&G 2 weeks ago.

ScooterD 09-27-2023 07:59 PM

Legit topic for conversation IMO. It was an early 2022 product for me - nothing but singles since.

WizardofOz1982 09-27-2023 08:03 PM

2017 Ginter was the last hobby box I bought.

SearchPatrol 09-27-2023 08:13 PM

For me it was a box of 2001 Topps reserve. I was going for the PSA Auto Pujols card.

LittleJimmies 09-27-2023 08:17 PM

Purchased and opened about approximately 1 zillion boxes from 2019-2021, a handful in 2022, and none in 2023.

mikejones 09-27-2023 08:28 PM

2023 product, none. Don't plan of buying any.

TheFrenzy 09-27-2023 08:28 PM

Two years ago.

Two boxes of Topps Chrome.

[QUOTE=rngrdanny22;19071682]"Hobby", maybe 2019-ish?

2019 Bowman Draft ~ 5 Jumbos

Bcr 09-27-2023 08:35 PM

Just split a box of 2023 Bowman chrome with my dad but that's it. I would also be curious on how many of us join breaks

vwnut13 09-27-2023 09:40 PM

Never

LVDan 09-27-2023 10:21 PM

Last was a torn cellophane special of 2018 s1 on on the bargain table for $40 at the LCS in mid 2019
