Here's where you can go to request info.

Why isn't there a price? It says what you are supposed to get so I'd assume they know a price at this point. Or is it a game of "see how much interest we get" so we know whether we can jack up the price.

njmcards 06-29-2023 04:23 PM

emailed them for the hell of it and it’s $12,500 a ticket

For real? That blows.

“…the ticket package compensation (National Silver Packs, VIP Gold Packs, Autographs, VIP Boxes, Panini swag, etc.) is subject to change, elimination or alteration without notice”

Imagine ponying up and Panini changes the good stuff

There are no Super VIPs this year, they changed it up.

I think $12.5k is probably right on the button for package value, not much room if looking to flip the pieces off but fair enough if looking to get the packs and go to the event. Golds at $55 per and silvers at $35 per doesn't sound too outrageous IMO especially considering you'll get clean sleeves on both.

ddearing 06-29-2023 10:27 PM

Last year they were $8k at this point. I've never missed a party. I'm one of 2 customers (non-industry) who have attended every Panini party and I'm on the fence at this price. I take my kids every year. I hustle and grind and work my butt off and make a few bucks on the ticket each year. At $12,500, you can hustle, grind and work your butt off hoping to break even, but probably lose $1,000. Especially since they are not giving you the gold packs at the party this year. They are shipping them to you after the party. The market for these cards falls off a cliff within 2 weeks, which is about the time that you would be getting the gold packs delivered. FWIW, the wax packages to get the VIPs were much better this year than last year for the same price. In previous years, I am selling the gold packs from the party to help pay for the tickets. No chance to do that this year since you won't have the packs at the show. Very frustrating for Panini to change that up.

I'm not mad at BO for the price. If they can get it, then they should try. Just frustrated since it's going to be a lot of work to "hopefully only lose a few thousand $".

There are Super VIP's. That wax package costs $50k instead of $30k to the distributors and comes with extra everything, including some special "breaker packs" that only come with the Super VIP.

$35 for silver packs would be very generous last year. They were not worth that. Also, they had terrible collation issues with the silver packs last year. Golds were fine.

Historically, these packages sell for around what we would consider the "likely floor" - plus a little bit. That would be $20/silver and $50/gold. That's $7k for packs + $500 for fathers day and maybe at most $1k for everything else. I was expecting packages to be $8k-$8,5000. That's the level where the buyer is taking some risk, but if they work hard, they likely won't lose money. If the packs are good, then you can make a few bucks if you hustle and grind. If they are bad (and they have been bad before), then you can still lose a few thousand per deal.

They called em "Premium" bundles, same # of golds but more silvers and instead of Fathers Day you get the breaker packs. No other perks/bonuses AFAIK. But yes I get it they are kinda the same

The gamble is the Wemby chase this year, have to imagine nobody going to want to sell til that is known if has any type of cards included

Also worth noting that for the $50k, you got much better quality wax in the package.

Because it would be such a big miss to not have him, I am expecting Wemby in the panini packs. However, since Panini has issues getting time on the printing presses that Fanatics now owns, they may not be able to if their print deadline was prior to the draft. There have been times in the past where the current basketball draftees were only included in the swag bag as a "Panini Instant" card.

I am also expecting him the the Topps packs since fanatics signed him and has included his autos in products already.

Last year I got wiped out of the silver packs at $25 each by Saturday. I believe this year they will be a solid $30 a pack at the show. I don't believe Wembanyama will be in the silver packs but I do believe he will be in the Gold packs. That is just my opinion based on what I have heard.

Last year, breakers were buying up all the VIP gold boxes at 10K+ right after the show.

Last years rookie checklist for silver packs was pretty weak and I expect this year to be much better.

Last year I bought 3 1/2 packages and this year I have 3 packages, so I'll have 300 silver packs at the show again. Personally, i thought they should have just given the 100 pack boxes of Father's Day packs instead of 75.

If Wemby is in the gold packs and not the silver, those gold boxes will eclipse 10k easily.

They did last year. Blowout steppen up to make it right by me but Panini usually gave you a packet of autographed 8x10's of athletes there were at the party that night. Additionally, the silver packs over time have dropped in both quantity provided and quality in the packs. But they did give us the Father's Day packs which in 2 full boxes of them I got 1 Auto; Grayson Allen -ugh. So, I think Panini is giving away fewer packs at the VIP and the content of the packs is less. The Gold Packs are my favorite thing to open each year and have been consistent.

Yes, I actually open the packs lol

What platform are the "Super VIP" packages being sold on? Direct from panini, dealers, distributors?

So is anyone here going to the Panini Party?

:coffee:

dayrider1973 07-12-2023 09:48 AM

I will be sitting it out right now for the 1st time in around 6-7 years (not counting the COVID year.)

My friend is going, which stinks for me, because Saturday night is the only night I am staying. Luckily I convinced another friend to go with me.

solt0131 07-12-2023 12:12 PM

Seems like there are a lot less of these available this year.

solt0131 07-19-2023 09:34 AM

Has anyone heard if Wembanyama will be in the Silver and Gold packs?

Hopefully we get some kind of information from Panini today with the show a week out. They are usually 5 blog posts in about the national by this point. Really indicative of what is going on inside that company.
