Seemed like Topps Chrome went from utter trash product break to something people actually anticipate overnight.. what did I miss cause nothing has changed with the actual product. Are we just getting dumber and more desperate?

The only reason to pass on the magnets refractor is you are holding out for the slightly more rare magenta speckle refractor.

Same way purple speckle demand will be hurt by purple sonar demand which wil be hurt by purple demand

those topps chrome inserts autos look horrendous.

It's an open question whether there is demand for them now. In 10 years, it depends on your viewpoint.

The OOGs originally rejected the Purple /250 and Green /99. Now the new OG accept those two as part of the rainbow and are rejecting all the new stuff. In 10 years it will be a new group of OGs and they may like the new parallels...when the product is new and fresh.

The flip side of that is if you have say a Francisco Lindor Purple /299 from 2018 you're lucky to get $2-$3. A Ryan Braun would be lucky to get $1. About 160 of the 200 card set would be immovable even at $1. That will only get worse over the years.

Retail I think will be hard to come by because box prices are going to be stupid high so people will flock to their favorite retailer. I bet Blasters are $30 just like for Bowman.

Purple /250 and Green /99 still are still less desired and sell for less than their "less rare" Refractor /499 and Blue /150 counterparts, respectively though, right?

What product has had retail that Hobby was priced as high as Chrome is going to be ? 2023 Bowman maybe and it's not exactly sitting on shelves in mass and Topps Chrome is more popular than Bowman plus factor in all the hot Rc's.

Maybe not apples to apples but still a ton of 2022 Chrome retail around here.

2022 Chrome was a disaster from the get go with the missing RC SP's

All of it is wildly over priced. So I’ll go with all of it.

Over/under for the total number of parallels?

Are TacoFractors named for the severe bowing that happens on some chrome releases?

But at its core its still going to be way over produced, a million extra parallels, probably QC issues trash. Probably a higher quality trash then last year I admit but still trash. With single prices its going to be a loser to open like about everything else is. But to end on a positive note i will say ripping retail will probably be 10 times better then ripping hobby and jumbo at their prices.

That insert is awful.

There will not be any demand for ANY parallels #'d higher than 25 unless there is something truly unique or visually appealing about them.

I collect Heritage Black Chromes, but I wouldn't touch any non-black parallel with a 10-foot pole....
