Topps Buyback Offer Program
First cards selected are 2022 Topps Chrome Paul Goldschmidt and Aaron Judge.
https://www.toppsmvpbuybackoffer.com/ Base is $20 in store credit. Here is the list for store credit according to parallels: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_8ytO6VfmhUQ4NgchRRdxF_rNPrbkmdKFcALfrDTqO4/edit#gid=1957102849 |
Super psyched to exploit all loopholes!

Sounds like too much work for my LCS
|
fanatics getting in with comc it seems.
wonder how/if this will affect their UD relationship. |

Agreed same as mine…simply does not have the time or worth the effort to have to manually put in the cards into COMC for reimbursement on their store credit….how does this benefit the LCS owner? |

Read the title and thought maybe they were doing something similar to the mid 90s Bowman buyback program where they would pay you something like $100 for a complete set of base Bowman cards 2 years or so after release.

Less allocation for you!” |
This sounds like some BS scam Why would ComC be involved in a program between Topps/Fantatics and LCS?
|
COMC has the manpower to pull off IDing and counting so many cards.

I became confused myself. |

It does mention "all participating shops" leading me to believe there is an out. |
It’s on dealernet so legit probably.

Before or after they buy Upper Deck? |

Is this the same Comc that takes 2 months to ship a card? |

I have been getting lots of 20-30 cards in less than 5 days for the last 3 months |
I can't tell if this is supposed to be a perk for individuals or for LCSs

Used to be. Good thing the card market crashed this year, and COMC spent hundreds of thousands on new robotic sorting machines. |

I can see this being good for the LCS in theory. If they exchange a card for store credit it both drives traffic to their store and requires the purchaser to buy something from them. Some people may not get round to using it and they will make their profit margin on whatever gets bought. Whether it is worth the hassle in practice is anyone's guess (and will depend a bit on what the card is and what Topps/Fanatics is paying - if the prices are silly low then it will definitely be a waste of time for the LCS). Hard to evaluate what it means for individuals without seeing what cards are involved and how much they will pay. Seems like a bit of an odd promotion, but maybe it will make more sense when we see the cards involved and prices. |
If I had to guess, and since there is no evidence, why not... I will guess they will be Topps Hall of Famer cards from the 1957-75 timeframe of players that are still alive to autograph them for future releases. The cards earlier than that are too large to fit in modern packs... ;-)

It’s 2022 cards. Hard to see how Fanatics can offer a credit for base cards that makes any sense for either party. Interested to see what the actual details are. |
D'oh. Gotta read the post before responding... ;-) thanks for the correction.
It does say a base Topps set and some parallels, so maybe some from Transcendence? |
I could see this creating a fun chase element, involving brick and mortar shops if there's enough participation, and the buyback is lucrative enough.
Is it possible the 2022 set will be from 2022 Topps Chrome? I'm sure numbers have been underwhelming, and this could generate some extra sales. In terms of the parallels, you could remove one of Fuchsia or Pink, and no one would notice |
going to end up being base cards from some stupid expensive set like triple threads that no one would otherwise buy
