Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl winner 25 to 1 Las Vegas

Purchased a Philly Eagles Super Bowl winner prop 25:1 back on Sept 1, 2022
I put $100 to clear $2600 at Rampart Casino at the JW Marriott Casino Resort Las Vegas

I’m interested in trading this at $1500 trade value up until Dec 1.

Likely increasing in value after that date.

I have the kiosk printed slip and will deliver signature confirmed when deal is struck.

I’ll trade/sell for:
-PS5….console etc.
-graded comic book or two
-gold/silver
-high end card or two NBA or MLB

Open to discuss thanks other deals

I'm confused, anyone can put $400 on the Eages right now to payout $2,700 on Fanduel sportsbook ..... why would anyone trade $1500 for this?

I'd give you $270 for your ticket?

PS: It will never be worth more than the $1500 price you set on it unless the Eagles are literally leading in the Superbowl.

Also of note, anyone who buys this is going to have a tax basis of 100 in the ticket (likely) according to the casino as it will be difficult (impossible?) to show value in a trade…. So that makes it an even worse investment for anyone here.

cool idea and offer. GL boys

Thanks for the take, I suppose.
I decline your offer of $270.
Here’s a few notes for you.

You being confused appears to be a personal problem.
This is a BST forum.
I clearly labeled my conditions.
I didn’t know any of it needed to be vetted by you.
You don’t like it, that’s fine.
Somebody else may.

The ticket has a $2600 potential payout.
Keyword potential.
Enter negotiations, bartering, haggling, etc.

The game of chance we all partake in has winners and losers.
Some folks take chances.

Someone may feel a great deal of value in a trade for this.
Who are you to set the deal or value of my item or someone else’s!?!
It’s clearly not yours.
Your scenario makes plenty assumptions like mine.
Your current assumption favors your point, until the Eagles win the SB.

Remember this, value is what someone may be willing to pay or trade for something they want.

Someone may be wanting to unload a bum card of Tatis that’s declining in value or bundle up some items they don’t care about for the chance at $2600.

Cool story….
Once upon a time, someone on this board sold a scratch off for a chance to win the Kris Bryant RC Superfractor for $750….for a scratch off most thought was very limited. A throw in scratch off.
You never know what people will pay for stuff.

So the next time you want to sound like the smartest collector/gambler/troll in the room, grab a mirror and stay off my thread.
Thanks.

The difference is what you're trying to sell/trade has a very well-defined and liquid market value. Anyone can replicate the exact payout structure of your ticket with ~$500 right now. So when you try to sell it for 3x that value saying it's worth "what someone may be willing to pay for it", it comes across as you trying to find someone to take advantage of - which tends to rub people the wrong way. You're exactly right - you can ask whatever exorbitant amount you want for your item - but you shouldn't expect no one to call you out on it either.

Stunned only by how stupid some people are.......

'Your current assumption favors your point, until the Eagles win the SB.'

WOW! In that case, why dont I just go bet 400 on the Eagles to pay 2700? Upside = net $2300

or as you are saying, it would make more sense if I gave you ~$1500 in trade for it where my upside would be net $1100 (if payout is 2600) and downside =1500, all while paying taxes like I netted $2500.

Maybe try your luck on prop swap..... they will also tell you that your logic is idiotic.

I literally made an offer and gave my rationale.... you are an idiot. what if, hypothetically, I said that I will go on an online gambling website and place a bet for 400 to pay 2700 on the eagles right now..... should I expect 1500 in trade in value or somewhere closer to the 400 I just paid? My offer offered you a profit.

My only offer now is some advice...... read a book and try to get smarter.

Go to DK and place $1500 (asking price here), and the payout is $9000

Translation: Stop calling me out for my item that I mispriced either on accident due to my own ignorance or on purpose to take advantage of someone else's ignorance.

Literally everything on this planet is worth only what someone is willing to pay.

So in theory you could try to sell a loaf of bread on here for $2,000. Because someone MAY be willing to pay that...but (much like your item) it can be had for a much lower price in a bunch of other places, so you're gonna have a hard time finding a willing suitor, and a very easy time finding people to point out your overpriced item.

I'm surprised you weren't on here last week selling Powerball tickets for $300 million because they had a "potential payout" of $2 billion

Wow. Keep me posted if this works.

I will go grab a few $20 scratchers and sell them back here at a real steal of $50k each. You have a chance to win a Million!! (I think, been about 5 years since I bought a scratcher)

Blowout never ceases to amaze.

Very.

It doesn't mitigate the fact that you could have gotten better odds at the time either.

Bumping this makes you look greedy who was right about calling the eagles to win the chip.

I wouldn't bump this again, but have at it.

darealstunna 01-24-2023 10:58 AM

There’s a whole lot of advice, trolling, opining on this BST thread, kinda like Dr Phil.

If you don’t like or agree with the BST make a Hobby talk thread about it and have fun.

This thread is for a deal maker not gawkers to interlude.

Hopefully BO members bought their tickets with better odds at better prices like they like to point out. I still have mine and would entertain a trade. If not, I obviously will go back to Vegas and get my loot.

This isn't the "I told you so" you think it is.

Your ticket still isn't worth the $1500 you were originally asking.

asw37 01-24-2023 10:39 PM

There are only 4 teams left and the eagles are the favorite and I would still do better than this lunatic’s asking price from October if I bet placed the bet today!
