Autographs through the mail
I was wondering if any of you have ever had much luck mailing cards to players for them to autograph with a SASE?
When I was a kid, I think I mailed off about six cards. Five of them responded with the "due to the large volume of fan mail..." letters and glossy photos. The only one I remember getting autographed was from Robin Yount. So, I was batting .166 :D Does anyone do this, and if so, what tips can you offer? |
There is actually an entire section for TTM, with a lot of good info, on these forums here…
https://www.blowoutforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=75 I had a lot of success in the 90’s and 2000’s sending 100’s a year but after I started having kids I stopped as it was tough to find time. I need to have my younger kids start doing it so they can learn the lost art of writing a letter. I think this would be a good excercize and also get them more excited about collecting. |
I got a few responses by sending the card with a SASE to the Home Stadium address. One was Albert Pujols, super awesome that he signed and returned my card! Good dude
