It's pretty weird how some of these cards were signed all the way on the right edge and then he would just go back and sign the middle area again. Was he watching TV while signing these? lol Anyhow, I consider this card to be LeBron's 3rd best (behind Ultimate, and of course, the Exquisite) and I do have an opportunity to pick-up a second copy, however, this one has been signed all the way on the right edge. Do you think that these examples should be worth less compared to the ones that were signed in the middle?

Yes, it would bother me that the auto is not centered.

It wouldn't bother me personally... but it would bother a whole lot of OCD collectors willing to spend that kind of money

I realize /500 makes being picky less possible (I've owned almost a dozen of these over the last 20 years... I get how hard they are to find)

But I'd wait for a different one if I was dropping that coin currently

Not sure if it was by accident or by design, but all the ones I've seen where the auto is to the right are numbered below 100.

There are only 500 of those cards.
Don't let something small like that bother you.

Interesting observation. So maybe about ten - twenty percent of them have signatures on the right edge? And like asujbl pointed out, this card is only #'ed to 500, and so it doesn't leave many nice ones available. [B]We could break it down even more here.[/B] Some of them were chopped up and are now either in raw state or sitting inside AUTHENTIC holders. And finally, maybe a few are still in wax packs?

And I LOL'ed when asujbl wrote "FU money." I just love the terms that you guys throw around on this forum! I think I need to send a private message to pcptrade and maybe he can teach me how I can get "FU money!" :)

Here is the one I currently own. I got it in a trade! :)! I would like another one, but I want to make sure I don't overpay considering the one I'm being offered has an AUTO that is way off!

As I mentioned I've owned probably 10-12 copies over the last 20 years... and none of them were off center for the signature

I am interested to see if the less than 100 is correct

The side autograph bothers me. It just does. If I was spending $$$

If you're truly (not you specifically... but a high end buyer) willing to spend this much you should be picky. I totally disagree with the "I would be happy to own that card. Period" sentiment from above

As a PSA 10 collector? I'm not dropping 5 figures on something like all 10's are the same. They aren't

Now it simply comes down to whether you're willing to wait on something that is /500 when a lot of people have them stashed in their PC's

That's a personal decision

I'd be more worried about the trimmed copies than the signature being toward the side.

I know you can't really be picky when it comes to high-end grails but that would annoy the hell out of me, I think it looks terrible.

They're talking about the first hundred copies of this /500 card. For example, 032/500, 066/500, 091/500, etc.

Centered or not, what a pathetic excuse for a signature. LeBron really rushed through this issue, basically just his initials. Compare this to his Exquisite 2003 rookies, night and day difference.

Mine is not centered too, but I'll hold on to it. I only have 5 LBJ cards now.
