One to keep an eye on: Andrei Kuzmenko

Signed with the Canucks. He certainly has some flash, we'll see how it translates to the NHL. Maybe a good time to buy some Elias if they get PP time together? |
He’s like 80 in hockey years.

Pettersson's second half was strong, wonder if he can carry that form over to next season's start. |
So now we get this guy and already have Vasily Podkolzin as a top 6 winger and Danil Klimovich in the system in Abbotsford.
With Jim Rutherford's connection to the Penguins do we maybe get Gino Malkin signing here as a UFA to be a PP specialist and a mentor to the Russian youths? |
For what it's worth, Vladimir Tkachev was a similar signing for the LA Kings last year and then proceeded to spend the entire year in the AHL and is now back in Russia. And Vadim Shipachev, probably the best player in KHL history, lasted only 3 games with Vegas before going back to Russia. These guys are all wild cards, we'll see what happens with Kuzmenko.

KHL players can be hit or miss in the NHL for sure. From the highlights I've seen he looks closer to a Dadonov than Tkachev. Shipachev did light up the KHL as well though so we will see. |

This guy looks pretty legit in preseason… not Calder eligible though

great name!
