Jayson Tatum Record 100 Turnovers in Playoffs

Just saw this. That is a crazy stat! Between Tatum’s turnovers and 4th quarter disappearances, it begs a few questions:

Was this Championship more about Warriors being great or Celtics wetting the bed?

Will the Celtics make it back to the Finals to redeem themselves?

And will Tatum’s legacy recover from one of the worst Finals performances by a superstar in history?

He’s not a superstar though

hhh, good one Siberian,

rustywest 06-17-2022 08:42 AM

Go away.

He is 24 years old

AwesomeBrian 06-17-2022 08:45 AM

He's 10 ply bud

mwash1983 06-17-2022 08:46 AM

He’s James Harden 2.0, will probably get into the HOF but won’t be a top 25 player of all time and I don’t think he wins a chip.

Randallk34 06-17-2022 08:57 AM

Played like a coward in the finals

rifleman69 06-17-2022 09:02 AM

Should retire now and take up truck driving.

Not sure why you had to bring curry into the discussion.

oldgoldy97 06-17-2022 09:02 AM

Going to find out he played with two broken ankles.

Randallk34 06-17-2022 09:16 AM

He played like a coward in the finals

Nomad 06-17-2022 09:18 AM

that shoulder separation injury needs time to heal I guess. should have taken himself out

Randallk34 06-17-2022 09:20 AM

This is what you get for wearing yellow shoes (g.s. colors) in a Boston uniform.

You looked like an idiot and played like a coward

jurule 06-17-2022 09:24 AM

This looks alot like Lebrons 2011 Finals meltdown in his 1st attempt. But he was not only 24yrs old and he had Dwade, Bosh and a good supporting cast. Tatum has plenty of time to redeem himself. I believe this is just the start of his 'Legacy'

Asian62150 06-17-2022 09:30 AM

Yeah. Tatum is 24 (even though he's been in the league for 5 years). Finals performance was a disappointment but his story is far from over. He also faced a terrific individual defender in Wiggins and a great team D, too.

Let's see how he and the Celtics respond next year. He's likely got another 8+ years playing at an All-NBA level?

Too many prisoner of the moment takes going on.

Randallk34 06-17-2022 09:45 AM

Brown is 25, he didn't wet his pants.. find a new excuse

Chris P 06-17-2022 09:56 AM

He played flat out awful in the Finals..zero excuses..just terrible..and it was a major disappointment seeing him just totally not want any part of last night. It happens though..we'll just have to see how he responds to this.

solt0131 06-17-2022 09:57 AM

Tatum for KD straight up.

jurule 06-17-2022 10:08 AM

Another thing relevant to his turnovers, he has been ball handling way too much for my liking. He is 6'9 playing way out on the perimeter with 6'3 quicker guys guarding him. He needs a post up game and to work around the elbows more. His handle is not great.
AND GET A THIRD SCORER! GSW had Poole and Wiggins to go with Klay and Steph. Who did Tatum and brown have??

Jaylen Brown didn't have that great of a series, either. A lot of costly turnovers and some brutal shooting games.

I don't think either Tatum or Brown played horrendous. They just didn't play up to expectations. Tatum's expectations were higher and his struggles were amplified by playing poorly in the 4th.

Tatum was embarrassing at home last night in an nba finals elimination game. Stage was to bug for him. Will he grow? Only time will yell

dengbang 06-17-2022 10:48 AM

Wonder how the Celtics got to the Finals in the first place...I'm sure JT has nothing to do with it.

mallowciraptor 06-17-2022 11:24 AM

Tatum is going to deserve a lot of the flack he's going to get (especially if it comes out that his shoulder injury is worse than he letting on), but man the Celtics Twitter hot takes are going to be deafening and stupid as hell this off-season.

They will be back in the mix next year and beyond. Hopefully a bit more mature and ready to take care of the basketball.

gomiamigo 06-17-2022 11:34 AM

Next Kobe amirite? lol.

Imagine having an ALL TIME great dominant centre in Shaq on your team.
