Seems like a fun rip, and it's hard to find chrome for about $100 USD. If anyone hits numbered Christian Ramirez cards, hit me up.
I'm in for 3.
Grabbed two. Actually started watching some Scottish league games here in the last month, and have enjoyed them. Should be a fun rip and will help me learn the players.
Cue the usual suspects to crap all over this in 3,2,1 . . .
Yikes, only thing good about this is a few decent names on the auto checklist, which of course will be short printed. Good luck to the buyers.
Would rather match attacking chrome. Is there really any value is this stuff? I mean, MLS Barry gets any movement but at least you have Pepi to bail it out
£75 loooooooool
this should be £39.99 maximum. £75 for a league that isn't even in the top 15 in Europe is scandalous. I can't stop laughing. |
Heck yes! Thank you for posting this op, in for 2 boxes. Can't beat it for the price. Don't see much SPFL get attention so why not
Fun lil set with some low key legends |
This is great to see. We'll probably pick off some singles but I see this as being a sleeper prospect set moving forward. Especially for some of the USMNT guys that land here.
CCV and Ian Harkes to start. |

Harkes is unlikely to ever play international football. As for US players landing in Scotland to play in the Scottish Premier League, you might find your pickings few and far between, there's not many US players that have played in Scotland previously. MOst famous of course being Reyna twenty years ago, and Beasley twelve years ago. There's only two other Americans playing in Scotland (I think?) - 30 year old Christian Ramirez and James Sands. As an aside, it's pretty weird seeing barely any hype at all for this from British collectors, and the majority of pumping done by North American collectors. :D |
How did they come up with an 150 card base set for this but only can do 100 for UCL chrome?
UCL / UCL chrome will have 200 this year.
Is this the longest a hobby soccer product has sat on the site since the pandemic began?
Did bit of research and Turnbull looks like best prospect with transfer value of $7M, anyone else I missed? Looks like a crap product
Are autograph cards hard-signed?

Match Attax Chrome Bunde and UEFA if ya count it |
Nah, I don't think we should count Match Attax really.

Turnbull isn't a "prospect" he's 23 this year and has played over 100 games. It's a testament to how bad Scottish Football is that he's a "Future Star" Insert. The only proper "prospects" are Karamoko Dembele, who's career at a young age eerily looked a lot like Moukoko at Dortmund. He made his debut at 16 in 2018, but has featured less than 10 times since, and has been ravaged by injury. He's just come back - so this season and next are major for him. The other is Calvin Ramsay at Aberdeen. He's a defender though, so nobody will give a darn. Jota (Celtic) is also a decent pick-up. I'd imagine he's going to the Premier League, or abroad sooner rather than later, this should also be his RC. Topps REALLY missed a trick by missing out Celtic's new influx of Japanese talent (Hatate, Maeda, Ideguchi) and there's only Kyogo represented. I'm not sure if Topps will designate him an RC or not. He's a solid pick-up, and a wonderful player. .. that really is it. |
for me, there's a novelty factor with this being the first year launch. And who knows maybe I just overdid it when I saw shiny hobby at retail!
there's still cases and cases of it sitting there
i guess we won't be seeing this again lol. As I said at the start of the thread, this should have been £30-£40. |
still in stock lol
Opened my two boxes yesterday. I know the cards aren't worth much but they look fantastic. Seem to be a thicker card stock than the regular topps chrome. Hit a Turnbull base auto in box one. And in box two hit a Josh Doig Orange auto (/25) and a Henrik Larsson base auto. Best non auto was a Ryan Kent blue out of 125.
As I said, not worth a ton but a fun rip for me. And thanks to the Larsson auto, I could probably recoup my costs. |
